Sven runs a great team of helpful people. They designed our house and we are currently in the construction phase. His team created a very exciting design with Passive House standard energy efficiency.

Our initial meetings with Maxa Design & their ability to interpret our design vision onto paper exceeded our expectations. Based on this we felt we had found the right building design company to design our forever home.Before any works commenced, we all agreed on the scope and signed the contract agreeing to a ‘lump sum’ price for their services. Unfortunately, this did not turn out to be the case…Their design drawings detailed locations to conceal downpipes within the external soffits & within wall cavities however this was not possible due to locations of structural steel members. An onsite meeting was requested by the Builder however Sven from Maxa Design advised ‘whilst I would like to attend, we’re sadly not in a position to donate our time’ unless the attendance was billable.This was extremely disappointing considering we were seeking to find a workable design solution for the project with respect to an original design intent that was not achievable unless the hours were billable.Unfortunately this was not the only occasion where Maxa Design asked for more money to fix issues relating to their design drawings

We have recently had the design for our new house completed by Maxa Design and our experience of working with them has been very positive. The design is excellent, the communications throughout the process were great (always clear and honest) and they actually truly care about sustainability (it's not just a buzz word for them!) - they are well researched and have complex knowledge about environmentally friendly design principles. We are now moving toward the building stage and look forward to seeing Maxa's design come to life.

We engaged Maxa Design for full design services on our new family home in Tootgarook and are so pleased with the outcome. The team at Maxa were fantastic to deal with, and ensured our home achieved a very comfortable 8.0 star rating. We are always surprised with the superior comfort of our home and year round we receive compliments from visitors about the homes air-tightness and aesthetics. All we wanted was a view of the water, we got so much more than this. Thank you Maxa Design, we’re telling everyone about you!

Such a great team to work with. We've been working with Maxa Design on many projects. Each house has it's own character, being efficient in all aspects of design with fine and accurate detailing.
