Helpful info. Touring around found 3 galleries all shut up. Then one open. No point in being listed and closed.

Poor information for people wishing to camp in Council or Parks Camp Grounds.I was told I could take a photo of the information. Made me feel like a budget traveller and I wasn’t so important. Not so friendly either but maybe that was just a one off.

You must make your first visit here and meet the beautiful Silvia who mapped out our entire holiday based on our needs and wants and deserves a pay rise. Delightful friendly and ssssoooo knowable about the Island Not a minute will be wasted. She booked us bro restaurants to get the best seats which we found a must. Silvia holds a lot of tourist information and she is very willing to share it with you. Leave yourself plenty of time to pop in, but when you leave you'll know everything you need to know and then some. You are an asset Sylvia

We had 4 days on the island and Sylvia provided us with a great itinerary. She was incredibly well informed and knowledgeable about all the venues and all issues related to the island and we found her to be very accurate in her evaluation of everything. The attendant was professional. We went on one of her recommended tours and found that informative and also professional.

Sadly, the only Visitor Information Centre in Australia, that does not have toilets!! A dump point but no toilets! Nearest toilets a good 1km away and hard to find. Come on Penneshaw, with the number of visitors to your centre , you MUST install a toilet block. Other visitors shared the same disappointment of no toilets.

The person who we spoke to was very friendly and made a few useful suggestions but it felt like she was trying to oversell visiting a couple of local businesses (eucalyptus and honey farms) that we had no interest in. We were also told by a different local expert" later in the day that her advice on only going to Admirals Arch to see seals as it would avoid the costs of going to the seal beach in the middle of the southern coast was a little misleading as apparently there are very different breeds of seal in each location. What she told us about admirals arch being spectacular and a place to see lots of (one kind of) seal was indeed spot on and one of the most breathtaking views on the island"

Silvia was absolutely incredible! We walked in not really knowing what we were going to be doing on the island and walked out with a full 3 and half day itinerary. It is a privately run business. Highly recommend having a chat to her and getting recommendations.
