Roseneath Caravan Park
A Dusty caravan cemetery.$40 A night to park up and use bore water which they don't tell you about. So full of what look like abandoned holiday shanties rotting away, and Im assuming permanants they have inherited. With piles of rubbish overflowing from every bin.Don't leave anything out at night lock everything away we had some items disappear overnight.Situated on Lake Wellington which is beautiful, with bird lifeIn abundance .A real shame as the position has potential after a bulldozer has been thru and cleaned it up.Council really needs to have a good look at this Shanty Town nothing at all like Website do yourself a favour keep driving plenty of other places to stay.

What a wonderful place to relax and recharge! A lovely caravan/camping park in a rustic rural setting a minutes walk from the shores of Lake Wellington. Great clean amenities including camp kitchen, barbecue area, sparkling pool with shade and a tennis court. The lovely young couple managing the Roseneath Caravan Park were friendly and welcoming and were happy to show us a couple of the amazing Glamping tents" - some of them with outdoor bathtubs on the tent decking to "soak in" the relaxing bush atmosphere. Other staff members were friendly and helpful with ideas on things to do and see and ensured we enjoyed sharing a magnificent camp fire and company at night. We stayed in one of the cabins - it was clean and airy and included kitchen

Great site, didnt feel crowded even at Easter period, huge open camping area means we have big space for tent, gazebo and camp fire, just bring enough drinking water and you will be fine.

Beautiful place, 2nd time I've stayed there.I will be back again, meet some really nice and lovely locals, even the possums were having fun.So good to have tennis courts, pool, real toilets and real showers, community lounge, lake/beach side and moreTotally happy with my stay, great for singles, families, even large groups.Just wish the kiosk had more in it, the kiosk wasn't staffed enough.Make sure you take your supplies as there not stocked to well.

Polite staff, friendly permanents. off grid park, very much bush living, which might not be to everyone's taste. Power is solar/generator, water is bore water and limited.Bbq's are bottled gas.Amenities block is quite adequite. Park is animal and atv friendly, but 5km/h limit in park area, and they are proactive in enforcing this. Most locals seem unaware of this park's existence.$40/night for powered site.Easy access to lake, lots of tracks to explore.

We loved our stay at Roseneath! Grant, the new owner is a lovely person (as are all of his staff) and a most generous host. He's worked hard to bring the property up to a high standard for an off the beaten path caravan park. The grounds are a wonderful mix of cultured lawns with swimming pool, and banksia bushland, bordering the gorgeous Lake Wellington. Our dog had as much of a great time as we did! We stayed in one of the cabins which was clean and comfortable. We're looking forward to camping by the lake next time. Grant very graciously lent us one of the park's golf buggies for the duration of our stay as one of our party was unable to get around much. All up, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay!A couple of responses to other posts - we heard very few dogs barking, and no shouting at all except from one remote camper who apologised for her barking dog :) And I would not have called the sand black by any stretch but it is definitely lake-side rather than beach-side sand and very typical for the area.

The Asian lady on the reception was very nice and supportive.Good price, and perfect beach, clean, shallow and zero waves. Perfect place for a family with kids to spend full day of swimming.

Kitchen is below basic. I had to hold the kettle while its boiling as no desk near the plug .. they will be in trouble if someone got electrocuted ! So many mosquitoes. Other than that the owners are very friendly and quite location.
