Great pub to visit and stay for the night. Free camping out the back with the use of the toilets and you can pay $5 for a nice hot shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals we had were delicious. For starters we had cheese and bacon garlic bread yumo. I had the rissoles and vegetables and my better half had the reef and beef for our main meals. As we do we tried each other's meal and we were both loved what we had. Highly recommend.

Fantastic pub with caravan free camping right next door.Lynette in the pub was extremely welcoming and looked after us for our meals and drinks which were great.A great place to park the van overnight and great, good value food and drinks.

We spend an afternoon and camped overnight in this wonderful hotel. The best and friendliest owner Donna and son Joseph. The meals were first class and huge best meal we have had on our 6 week trip to Tasmania and back. The service was fantastic so friendly and just like you were family. We would recommend this hotel Railway Hotel to anyone. Stop and have a drink or meal to support these beautiful people and free camp. Thankyou Donna and Joseph and staff. Pam and Tony.

Railway Hotel Gilgandra
I was travelling through NSW solo on a motorcycle, I didn't know where to get a feed so my Mrs googled it and said to go there, which I did, This place is a great place to stop and get a feed and a drink or 3.The staff were lovely and the atmosphere in the really old pub is brilliant, There's plenty of things to look at in the hotel from a by-gone era which makes it an interesting place.The food was really good and affordable and the staff are really nice.
