The Guitar Gym Ashgrove

I've been doing weekly lessons with Luke at The Guitar Gym for about 5 years and he has been invaluable to my development on the guitar. Lessons are catered to your needs and interests as a player, and Luke is always enthusiastic and keen to help you progress with your playing. I highly recommend headin' on over to The Guitar Gym if you're a guitarist of any skill level looking for lessons :)

My 10 year old son started lessons with Kenny in December. By January I was enjoying listening in on his lessons so much that I started learning guitar as well. We really look forward to out Thursday evening guitar lessons. We have lots of laughs and learn lots as well. We are both improving constantly because we are playing pieces that we choose and enjoy. Lots of fun.

Highly recommend The Guitar Gym. Administration is very organized, staff are helpful and accommodating. I’ve been having lessons with Kenny for almost a year and am delighted with my progress. Kenny is an extremely knowledgeable and talented teacher. Good mix of theory and playing, love our little jams! Thank you !

I look forward to my weekly ukulele lessons with Diego, at the Guitar Gym Ashgrove. It's easy to see he knows his job inside and out, and he really understands what he is teaching you. The communication is always clear. Diego keeps things professional. I always walk away feeling accomplished - the booklet with all the chords and the online member zone help me stay up to date with my lesson plan too. I couldn't recommend the Guitar gym more. The admin are very welcoming and professional too! When I've needed to move my lesson day, or during surprise lock downs that fall on my lesson day, or for whatever reason for change - they have always been fast to communicate with me and eager to assist/accommodate any changes.. It's definitely worth going to the Guitar Gym - They set you up to succeed.

Guitar Gym at Ashgrove is excellent. Lucas is my teacher. He is experienced, knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. I was 86 years old (!) when Lucas took me on as a student. In the year since, he has worked with me until I now have a goodly repertoire of songs to play. Very satisfying. I would recommend the Guitar Gym (especially Lucas) to anyone who is considering learning guitar.

Guitar gym personalizes your learning experience. My teacher provides helpful guidance to improve my technique and guide me in learning. In a few months I have progressed from a raw" adult beginner with no musical background to a point where I actually believe that I will master the guitar. My daughter has been having lessons with Kenny for a long time now. She absolutely loves his teaching style and has progressed very quickly under his guidance. He is happy to teach her any song she likes and suggests some great ones too.I would happily recommend The Guitar Gym and especially Kenny!

For years I have been playing the same old hackneyed chords and the one scale I learned as a kid. In 1 week, the Guitar Gym has opened up the fretboard for me and I can't wait for the next lesson!! Kudos to Henry

My 8 year old has been attending The Guitar Gym and seeing Luke for about 6 months. I like it how the teachers quickly adapt their teaching style to find the best fit for the student on the day. My child has made great progress and is enjoying playing. Straight from day one the teachers ask what song do you want to learn to play" and they start figuring out together how to play the song. It really get the kids excited and involved. I would definitely refer The Guitar Gym to anyone of any age (it's not just for kids)."

You can choose the content that you want to learn and the teachers are highly skilled and flexible musicians. I have progressed well and gained confidence since starting lessons. My teacher is able to identify areas of improvement and offer targeted instruction. The admin staff are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend The Guitar Gym, Ashgrove.
