Scott was great to work with. He is very insightful, patient, (not at all pushy) and more than anything, knowledgeable about the housing market. He spent much time at my property and gave me lots of guidance on how to make my house and the front and back gardens as attractive as possible, and it wasn't about spending a heap of money on it, but about creating subtle changes aimed at allowing potential buyers to see themselves living here happily. He has a personable manner, a great sense of humour, was very thorough and got me a great result.

Luis worked professionally and tirelessly for me during the short time my property was being prepared and was on the market. I was impressed with his care to minimise the stress element of selling my house e.g. organising professional help quickly such as the gardener, the windows and house cleaners, and his promptness and thoroughness in all our communications and the paperwork. Luis has a very considerate manner and worked kindly with me throughout the whole process. Luis maybe young but he showed himself to be mature and wise beyond his years with a strong ability to negotiate with buyers. Luis is very capable and I am glad he was my agent. His support staff were also prompt and capable, and I got the sense that the whole team was working behind the scenes towards a good result with the least trouble for me. The negotiating process used by Scott Kim is a bit different and I found choosing the final buyer a bit daunting but Luis helped me well. I was very happy with my choice. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Scott. We were looking for someone who would be supportive of our preference to avoid an auction for our house sale, and as a Jenman-approved agent, Scott was fully on board with that! Scott and the entire team at Scott Kim Real Estate were extremely helpful through the entire process of preparing our house for sale, and they provided regular updates on how things were progressing once our house had been listed. Scott is a fantastic communicator, responsive and supportive. Selling a house is always going to be stressful, but Scott made us feel as calm as possible, and helped us to get an offer we were quite happy with in the current uncertain market conditions.

“Above and beyond” is pretty trite, but I can’t think of an alternative.After multiple agents insisted on the standard model of “the owner pays all of agent’s costs regardless of sale”, Scott took me on using the Jenman model of “the agent bears all their own costs - and only get paid if they sell”.I paid an independent valuer to get a realistic price then set the minimum I would accept a step above that. Scott accepted my figure then not only sold well above my minimum, but did it in record time.THEN .. once the sale became final, Scott acted as my agent to buy an alternative property on which to build - and negotiated the price down by an amount that exceeded his commission on the sale of my house. He refused my offer to pay some sort of commission for this work.THEN .. Scott negotiated a rental property for me at a time when getting accepted for a rental was bordering on impossible. And he did it under enormous time pressure given the settlement was about to happen on my property.So … “above and beyond”.My reviews (practically) always have a caveat. There isn’t a reservation here .. just that the anyone looking for an agent needs to be aware that the “standard” agent’s contract hides the real cost by separating out the costs of sale (at retail) to the owner. Scott’s model is a single price, which makes it appear on the surface to be more expensive than “standard” agents. So apples and oranges - and you need to do your numbers if you want to compare offers.
