The road is not regular car friendly. The first section is steep and somewhat washed out . Once past that however the road isn't too bad. Because we walked we didn't get to see many of the views or the stone formations. We enjoyed the plants.

Stunning park with unique rock formations located just beyond the blue mountains. An amazing place to explore but marked tracks for walking are limited.

We really had to look hard finding any National Parks type directory signs while driving through on southside, to and from Glen Davis. Both vehicles went on look-see scouting out tracks, this mixed bag of results confirmed we needed a lot more time to explore the obviously very interesting geography here. Airily pass has a pretty camp ground, no toilets or hot showers like Glen Davis. Over 4x4 at Airily pass unfortunately had a gated top track and the lower ravine track was great, very steep, tight n very pretty but way too short to the private gated access (picture) where we thought would follow into the lower section. However, being able there to turn round there, we decided to at a later date, to make more time to find camps, walk to lookouts, follow gullies and fully rationed up for self sufficient exploration of open gated tracks n trails. The local caretaking oversight seems to have locked it up shop to most visitors atm.
