Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve

Great place to stay in a good location. Amenities were a little dated but had everything you need, hot water, strong shower pressure and relatively clean. Our only negative was the sites were small (where we were anyway) we felt a little cramped in and there was no toilet paper in the toilets New Years day. 10am check out seems too early as well for a camp site, I understand with cabins as they need to be cleaned. Just a suggestion but maybe check in and check out times need to be pushed out by an hour.

Unfortunately when we were there it was very wet and muddy. Under different circumstances it is in a beautiful spot by the river. Amenities are old But clean . Thanks for being dog friendly.

Absolutely amazing. We got here on a bad situation to a fully booked park but the manager of the park was compassionate and found us not 1 but 2 sites so we could get ourselves sorted. Can't say thank you enough for your kindness.

Had a great time. Beautiful spot, by the river and the beach and a short walk to town. Decent amenities, nothing flash but everything you need. Very friendly fellow campers too. Will be back.

Great place to camp. Close to the beach. Can get a bit wet in winter. Busy on footy days.

Extremely poor condition of toilets/showers facilities. It was probably last maintained in the 80s.Site was next to gravel road. Resulted in great amounts of dust blown our way every time a car would pass by.Good tennis courts and footy field.Good location in relation to the beach and distance from town centre.

Long weekend camp with the family on a wet, muddy and cold days as expected. Don’t ask me why but it was fun and not our first time as well. Set up our tents on a lush lawns while raining, had our small dogs with us since it’s a dog friendly place. Then it became muddy as we kept walking up and down on the watery lawns.This campsite is along the Bahram river with plenty of outdoor activities. We did kayaking on the river across and under the bridge, fishing across the road and onto the beach we cast a line, walked, ran, swam and simply sat on the camping chair to watch the water. The campsite has friendly staff and a special mention to Chris who has been an amazing attendant to all my silly queries. Facilities include bbq and kitchen, toilet and bathrooms are decent, clean and bright (not yucky), coin laundry and outdoor washing area. Very happy with our stay and will recommend to our friends.It is about 15 min walk to the jetty and break water if you want to go hard fishing. There is a seafood restaurant close-by which was awesome but ran out of oysters which I came for! It’s an informal outdoor setting but decent dining overlooking the bay. The town have strips of shops and park across the road with playground and bbq for family. But it was so packed and busy had to past it as there was no parking anymore.

They gave us a muddy spot, we got stuck and they didn’t even try to help us. We almost missed our flight, hopefully there were other campers to help us. Amenities were not worth the price. You should probably just park without paying because it will change nothing.

We had a fine time here. Good booking and check-in system. Facilities were fine and in good working order. Walking distance from main part of town and harbour.
