I can’t believe this place is real. So beautiful, so peaceful and very well maintained. I’ve never actually used the word ‘tranquil’ before but it’s the only word that describes this place. Nice picnic areas and benches and very clean restrooms. There are fish, ducks and we even saw a little turtle in the pond, and the trees have plaques explaining their origin and purpose.

Wow that's a lot of bats. Bats aside (though they're kind of cool to watch), these gardens are worth wandering around. They're small to medium size, but beautifully maintained, with lots of spots for picnics or gatherings. There are amenities, a few pretty floral sections a couple of interesting play areas and there's a very nice water feature on one side. The parking available in the bordering streets isn't bad either.

Beautifully kept gardens and lawns with plenty of shade to enjoy a picnic.A nice play natural play zone for the kids aswell.Only flaw was no signs for the toilets which were in the opposite direction of where we entered so took a fair walk to find.Great spot

Pretty manicured gardens just a short walk outside the town. Beautiful pond with fish. Best time Spring flowers! Bats are a bit scary haha. Small garden so doesn’t take long to look around but worth a look.

This is a small garden, very well laid out and maintained, with large, significant trees and sweeping lawns. The path winds past a fountain, historic well, sundial, fernery, rotunda and lake with a bridge. For us, the large, noisey bat colony was particularly fascinating. There is a nature based play space for kids. Public toilets are also available in the fenced garden area. Well worth a visit.

Warrnambool Botanical Gardens is a beautiful place to have a walk, picnic, enjoy the nature, or all of the above. It'd be great for families with kids. Before heading there, I imagined it to be bigger than it was. You can walk in and around the paths in about 30 minutes. But if you stop to, smell the roses"

Beautiful space , tranquil, and so well maintained and cared for. A unique historical public garden space. The Children's play space is a welcome space for all, and one that encourages the use of a child's senses in play.

Beautiful space that’s perfect for a short stroll. For locals it would be a tranquil spot for a picnic, some reading in the shade or meditation. Appreciate the foresight and history of someone in 1866 creating this garden. Well done to those who maintain this for all to enjoy.
