Avid frisbee thrower - so the cricket disrupts that a bit (sucks for us, great for the cricket players).Council taking the gates off (I forget the reason) makes keeping an eye on your dog a must.Otherwise fantastic place to go and relax, generally quiet.

Nice spot but needs more shade trees. The gates should be restored for puppy training. After all this reserve was bequeathed to be used as a DOG PARK for BRIGHTON residents, not just another sports reserve for visiting teams!

Took my dog there on Sunday for his first run off the lead, there were lots of other dogs to socialise with and he had a ball.Just be aware it is not fully enclosed.

Great dog park with a fully fenced enclosure. There were a few other dogs there today, all friendly and good for our dog to get to know. The fence around the oval is great as it guarantees that the dogs can't get onto the roads.

Great place to bring your dog to socialise but be careful you may meet some uptight people who don't want your dog playing with their's. A lot of cricket games going on during the summer but if you can dog keep out of the boundary then it should be fine.

Not in good condition for sports. Ground very uneven, holes everywhere, needs complete re do for cricket. Brown patches everywhere from dog wee. Only good thing is white plastic fence right round it. Looks good.

Park is nice. But playground is terrible. Slide is dangerous as there are no supports at the top or a ladder to get onto the platform. It looks like it is designed for 7+ age groups, but news flash, a park with a slide isn't what 7 years olds do. I lifted my 4 yo up so he could go down the slide and he said it hurt is bum. So i went down. Its got twist in it and actually hurts to go down. A water tap at the playground would br be nice too, not on the other side of the car park. Such a great park, nut council totally failed with this playground

The only dog park in middle Brighton. Initially I thought it was a good fenced area until my dog ran out of the gate, which is the only open gap of the fence, because there werr people playing basketball outside attracted my puppy to the other side.Watch out and be carefully about the gap! There can be some big dogs bullying small dogs which is hard to control.Council should make some effort to close the opening of the fence and include a small dog area just like The Wedge dog park in Caulfield.Otherwise there isn’t any good place for small dog in this area.

This used to be a great place for dogs as it was fully fenced but now some gates are missing. Also it is now football and cricket, the pavilion has been upgraded. Couldn't actually use the park as football was just about to start. Was much nicer 10 years ago.

Love this park. The white picketed cricket/footy oval turns into the best dog park in Brighton ... lots and lots of friendly dogs and even friendlier owners, beautiful surface and lots of parking. Kids can play on small basketball court or on the slides etc. This is the best place to bring your 4 legged friend for a run and a catch up with the other canine characters in the area. Highly recommended!!
