Marie Wallace Bayswater Park
What a great gem of a kid friendly park in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne! It has an actual old train that kids can climb into and a large playground with lots of swings and slides in all shapes and sizes. There’s also a cool little road park where kids can ride their bikes and scooters to learn the rules of the road. Definitely coming back!

If you have kids who love riding bikes, they will love this playground/park or just someone who loves spending time outdoors, this is a fantastic park that you must visit. This park is a true gem, offering something for everyone, from kids to picnic enthusiasts. The centrepiece of the park is the bike park, which features some nice road-like obstacles for kids to feel like their driving on a real road. What's particularly unique about this bike park is that it includes a network of traffic lights and stop signs, which adds an extra layer of realism to the experience. Kids can practice their road safety skills as they ride through the park, learning how to obey traffic signals and navigate intersections. In addition to the bike park, the park boasts a sprawling playground that's perfect for kids of all ages. There are plenty of things to climb, including jungle gyms and climbing walls, as well as slides and swings for those who prefer to stay closer to the ground. And for the more adventurous types, there's even a secret little garden to explore, where kids can wander among the flowers and discover hidden nooks and crannies. When it's time to refuel, there are plenty of options available. There's cafes 5 minutes walk away where you can grab a cup of coffee and a pastry or where you can indulge in a sweet treat. And if you're in the mood for something more substantial, there are several picnic areas scattered throughout the park, complete with BBQ facilities and plenty of shady trees. If you're looking for a place to burn off some energy, the park's oval is the perfect place to run around, play frisbee, or even have a game of footy. And if you're a basketball or netball fan, there are rings available where you can practice your jump shots and layups. All in all, this park is a fantastic destination for anyone who loves spending time outdoors. With its bike park, playground, picnic areas, and sports facilities, there's something for everyone to enjoy. So why not pack a picnic basket, grab your bike, and head on over for a day of fun in the sun, you won't be disappointed!

It's a bit older, but full of things to do. My son lives going here for the bike training area and train engine, but also enjoys the various areas called the Jungle, Sandpit and Secret Garden. Great for all ages to climb, slide, build, swing and play tag or hide and seek. Can't get bored inan afternoon here, it's huge!

Marie Wallace Bayswater Park
The positives -A great variety of equipment on the playground. Room for kids to ride their bikes and scooters. The negatives -Terrible for parking - gets super busy especially with sporting events in the park. The park is very large and area with tables for food etc is far from the playground so end up chasing the kids. Difficult with multiple kids at different ages as the park is huge and doesn't have any gates or barriers.

My wife and I are regular visitors to this lovely park. We first visit the local take away food businesses and then we go off to this park to consume it. It is always clean, neat & tidy and is very family friendly. A great place for children learning to ride their bicycles with a dedicated track for this purpose.

This playground is huge! The playground is separated into sections including a secret garden, jungle, sandpit, train, and bike track section. There is also an old steam train which is part of the train themed area. The bike track includes operating traffic lights which the kids will love. There are BBQ's, picnic tables and toilets nearby.
