Worth the drive up the mountajn! Our motorhome was fine on the gravel road. We did the Lake Osbourne and Arve Falls walks. Absolutely beautiful country and views.

Lake Osborne is beautiful. The altitude is about 800m - amazing creature by ice and fire.

Such a beautiful place! We arrived early in the morning, about 7.30am, and we were the first ones there. It's an easy walk to the bottom of the peak, but then the winds were quite strong so I made the decision not to continue to the peak. We had fun sliding down in the snow, though! Track was well maintained, toilets were clean. Highly recommend proper hiking shoes and clothing, especially wet weather gear if you're aiming to past the tarn as the weather can change quickly. Be safe! Have fun!

Had a really great time. The walk is really easy and almost flat until you get to the bottom of the mountain. It’s not too steep a lot easier to climb than cradle mountain. No dog or rain the weather was perfect.Great view.

The special experience that Hartz Mountains left to me is that I was able to hear the sound from water on my way to the top, which gave me the feeling that I was walking on the water. Please remember to wear hiking boots and bring extra layers. Some areas were muddy and I didn't prepare well. When you reach the peak, it could be cold.

We visited Lake Osborne trail. It takes 40 min both ways, easy trail. However, it is not suitable for wheelchairs. The trail is build mostly over the wet area, great views. The lake itself is beautiful. It is located nearly on the top of the mountain in the glacier-made valley. We had a great walk there. Water in the lake is very pure, but very cold.

Breathtaking! We did the Hartz Peak trail past the tarns and we were so blown away. It is a moderate walk that has some steep steps and slight scramble around the peak. The track however to Ladies' Tarn (just before the ascent to the peak) is all on platformed walking so it is very family friendly. This walk is very rewarding, the views from every water or snack stop were just remarkable.

A great walk, not difficult at all with all the new boardwalks. Some incredible views if you have a nice sunny day, and not too cold. But wear a jacket if it’s cloudy or windy, and although the visibility will be limited it’s still a great place to wander. The lakes are beautiful, and it’s worthwhile even if you can’t make the final ascent. If you do though, it’s worth it.

Take a rain jacket with you, do not let the rain and wind disappoint you. Check the photos before and after the cloud, you deserve the second one after all the climbing ~ wish you have a nice viewing.
