Couldn't be more happy with the service today at Burnie airport. The cafe employees were amazing and made my wait time so much shorter with the time they take to chat to you. Not to mention the use of that amazing couch!

Arrived at the Airport, and could not get in through the car park gate. Boom gate appeared to be out of printer paper, this is not the first time that I have had this issue. Pressed the call button, no response. Suggest the Airport rethink outsourcing the parking control.

While I have no issues with the Taxi drivers themselves, and I had many years of being the customer to a brilliant service, with polite staff, and an easy booking system, it is truly unfortunate that I have to rate the current system very poorly indeed due to a lapse in standard, and safety concerns. When the phone ordering system changed to a call centre, and the staff clearly had no idea about the local area, the service provided changed quickly. A few months ago I made a booking for my child (I specified the booking would be for a child when I made it), and requested the taxi pick my daughter up at a specified time, and place. I made the booking several hours prior to the end of school. My daughter waited for 15 minutes at the pick up point and there was no taxi. So she walked to a local shop and rang me, I rang and changed the pick-up place, and asked them to be quick. My daughter waited for a further 30 minutes and there was still no taxi. During this time I rang the taxi call centre to ask where the taxi was (more-so my child), and was told that according to the call centre's computer system the booking had been completed. I was beyond annoyed. I informed them that if the booking was completed my child would be at my house, and I wouldn't need to ring them. In the end my daughter had to walk the long distance home, on a dangerous road. After a few months I made a second booking, giving the service the benefit of the doubt. I booked another taxi for a particular time, again in advance. The taxi didn't arrive at the specified time. I even booked the taxi with plenty of 'wiggle room' so my daughter was picked up and dropped off in time so that she didn't miss her school bus. But when I rang to ask where the taxi was (now 10 minutes late), I was told that while there was a taxi in the closest town to me, they had just sent a taxi from the city (Burnie) for the booking. My daughter of course missed her school bus, and I rang back to cancel the booking. While the call centre staff are polite, clearly this system does NOT work for a small rural area. I feel sorry for the taxi drivers, because they must be finding this change-over even more difficult than the customers, after all they're the ones not picking up fairs.

The young blonde Qantas woman on this morning (24/11/22) was incredibly rude to my mum. She was very angry about something and taking it out on her customers, she left my mum feeling berated and worthless due to her lack of good manners and basic respect. Self-centered and lacking awareness, other staff seemed embarrassed by her behaviour. How she works in customer service is beyond me!

Delayed about 6hours due to problems with Qantas plane. I lost out more than $1500 to buy new tickets and waste of lots of time, but no compensation at all. Worst part was a very rude check-in staff, he was talking to customers in an aggressive way and yelling at me that the problems of the plane is not their fault. I felt offended from the way he told to me. Terrible experience.

Located in the outskirts of Wynyard, Burnie this domestic airport speaks itself for the tranquility of Tassie county life. Staff is super friendly and only a handful of them are here of course. Ample car parking spaces with very reasonable pricing, like 12 AUD for 3 days. Has got a nice restaurant serves you liquor, coffee and quick bites. There are only two gates here and a single hallway to wait with an ample seating capacity

Airport amazing staff , so helpfull, Taxis an absolute disgrace, booked one from Melb and arrived over an hour later , left alone at airport at night , I'm 73 , not exceptableTaxi driver lovely personReally need Uber at airport
