Montacute Conservation Park
Beautiful place but very challenging with some very steep hills to climb. Spotted an echinda and some kangaroos. Be sure to pack plenty of water and wear appropriate shoes and clothing.

A beautiful loop track through the conservation park. A fairly steep first half, followed by a gentle downhill stroll. Wide paths, and fairly good condition. We will do this again!

Fantastic walking track, you can do a loop up the Heysen and back down to he Mawson Trail

Fantastic walk, quite steep in parts. Wonderful views, ever changing. If doing the loop recommended by Walking SA, follow the Heysen Trail until you come to the Mawson Trail (just after the ruins) and then turn left along the Mawson Trail and follow it until for track 15 /1D.

Good 2.5 to 3 hr hike. Some steep hills and wide clean track.

Beautiful walking trail and fairly easy to follow on all trails. It is quite a steep hike and can be slippery after it’s rained. Has beautiful views from the top looking out to the sea. We spotted some emus and kangaroos along the way.

Great place for short walks or longer hikes. Beautiful bush scenery, grass trees and kangsroos.As of April 2018, the tracks are an excellent condition, although mostly steep terrain.
