Chambers Gully Park

Great trail for hiking or mountain biking. Bring you camera as you may want to take a pic of flora, landscape, koalas, variety of birds, rabbits, roos and even snakes. Great for a relaxing afternoon...

Most of the hiking road in Chambers Gully Park is steep. Some sections are on the edge of the cliff without trees or guardrails. I get a little nervous when walking through these sections. On the way we saw some lorikeets were eating figs and the scenery is good on the mountain.

This hike was awesome!! It was a 10k round trip from the bottom of Waterfall gully Rd. Was cool to see several mountain bikers. So many beautiful trees, bushes and wild flowers. We saw at least 10 koalas in trees and on the last 5k we came close to lots of kangaroos as it was getting dark. We used our flashlight getting back via the narrow path with a steep drop down one side but I was kind of glad it was dark at that point so I could see how far up we were. The sights of the city was nice and the sunset was stunning! Was the perfect time of day to go - about an hour before sunset. Next time I’d like to go in the early morning.

If you need some exercise the track up is a great way to get it and the track down is a lovely meandering walk with spectacular views over the city.

One of my favourite walks especially in Spring when the wildflowers are out. I enjoy koala spotting and like to see the kangaroos.

Walked to Mt Lofty via Chambers Gully. Moderately difficult walk offset by some great views of the City and Plains

Lovely place to walk, great spot to take dogs but be careful not to enter the National Park section (there are signs). Amazing view of the city and surrounding area if you take the path up the hill.

My family see koala and kangaroo here first time since we arrived Adelaide, so exciting.

Love it as it is a quick hike but very much worth the hour it takes to make finish.
