The Vines Golf Club of Reynella

We have been coming here for a girls get-together casually for a while now. Each time the menu has been great and the food delicious. Today we went for the 2nd visit this year. The menu had changed and not for the better. Menu now has no roast, lamb, beef or chicken dishes except for hamburger type meals and chicken snitty.Fish and chips batter was soggy. Gluten free pasta dish was tasteless and pasta not cooked properly. Not even el dente. I thought a chef would know who to cook GF pasta.Sorry we're were so disappointed that we will not be coming back.You have spoilt a little lovely Bistro with a wonderful view.

Fantastic meal Great new menu About time it changed The Onion rings where getting a bit old for Entrée. Lots of variety now with Entrée and Mains So fresh and clean.Team were so friendly too Where so impressed took another couple with us the following week same again Can not believe the quality of the meal Anywhere else its frozen and paying more for less on everything. Roast Veg a must. Keep up the great work Glad we came back after having not come for awhile because of the old menu was Stale Looked at the some of the other reviews People you need to go out more you must be stale too. What is it with older people and Pumpkin soup and Lamb roast This place is great Also could use seniors card which brought the price down

Wow after all these years a new chief can’t do a beef snity. No steak no lamb. And $32 for fish and chips!!!Worst thing to happen here. Looks like a deep fry cook. Sorry but you guys are off our list

A lovely course to play. Great infra- structure in place although signage to the next hole could be more obvious. Excellent greens, well manicured fairways and not too much rough to hit through. Nice cold beer at the 19th although food options were limited.

Very nice surrounds. Nice food. Good service. Will come again.

Often came here for dinners with family and friends because we knew the food was good served by lovely staff . Staff still great,but new menu has sadly kept us all away. I hope it changes back soon

UPDATE REVIEW 18/11/22We’re still waiting for spring to arrive with summer just over a week away!! Can’t remember a time when it has been so wet. The undulating course has stood up really well and was in excellent condition with all fairways, greens and bunkers maintained to a high standard. The ball sat up beautifully on the well covered couch fairways. The excellent undulating greens were rolling fast.The Vines is one of our favourites down south.Brodie in the pro shop was very accommodating and welcoming to us as visitors. We look forward to our next round.UPDATE: 15/7/22 and 29/7/22As per my previous reviews……We are now in the middle of winter and the course is looking fantastic. Fairways were close cut and gave us excellent roll for the day!! The bunkers were all manicured and in excellent condition. The greens were just mown and rolled beautifully. Both Alex and Brayden in the pro shop went out of their way to make conversation and were very welcoming. We had a fantastic day out and very much look forward to our next visit.UPDATE REVIEW 13/5/22Nothing changes……….we are at the end of autumn and the course is looking great. The couch fairways had very good coverage and provided us with excellent roll. The undulating greens were fast and true. The bunkers as usual were well maintained. Brayden was very welcoming in the pro shop.Excellent bar and bistro with cheap lunchtime meals.Be sure to add The Vines golf club to your bucket list of golf courses to play in South Australia. The couch fairways were like a carpet....... the ball sat up beautifully and provided us with excellent roll. As always, the challenging undulating greens rolled beautifully. The bunkers were well maintained. The grounds staff were friendly and accommodating as they called us up on a number of occasions. They should be very proud of the condition of their course. Jack in the pro shop was very welcoming.We look forward to our next visit.UPDATE REVIEW 20/7/21We are coming out of a very wet winter. The course is very well drained and was in excellent condition. It is always a pleasure to play at the Vines. Fairways, greens and bunkers are always well maintained. Brayden was very welcoming in the pro shop. Please read my previous reviews.UPDATE REVIEW 30/4/21It was a beautiful sunny Autumn day for golf. The course is located in a very picturesque and peaceful setting amongst the gum trees with lots of kangaroos lounging around. The course is always presented in excellent condition. As expected, the fairways were like carpet and provided us with excellent roll. The bunkers were in excellent condition and very well maintained. The undulating greens were in very good condition and provided us with their usual challenges. Peter was very welcoming in the pro shop. We had a great day out and look forward to our next visit.

A very peaceful atmosphere for a midweek dinner with the children.The variety on the menu was amazing and the taste of everything was 'top shelf'..Perfect table by the fire for a wet winter evening.

Fantastic course in superb condition. A great variety of holes and the par 3s are really good.Great help from the guy in the shop too.
