Strand Park
Wonderful family experience at no cost. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the water park facilities which has 2 bbqs available for use. Lifeguard is on duty when the water park is open but children under 10 still need parental supervision.The beach and toilets/changerooms are close to the waterpark. The playground was great fun as well and only a few metres away from the water park. Drinking fountain is near to barbeques and there are plenty of picnic tables in the park for use.

Beautiful park. Night markets are on the first Friday of the month and well worth a visit. Lots of great stalls including heaps of food vans. The playground and basket ball area gets lots of use. Just a really family friendly place to visit

Absolutely glorious winters day in Qld 30 degrees. Park is huge with plenty of shady trees, seating areas, protected swimming area (from the cross & stingers) & stunning views of the water.

Wonderful place to spend the day exploring the beach getting up close to wild black cockatoos and viewing the siren who changes colours with the water temperature

Ever since moving to Townsville 2 years ago, the strand has been a family favourite.We enjoy taking the kids down there on afternoon scooter rides, weekends to play at the waterpark or swim at the lagoon. The strand is well serviced with parks, toilets, bbq areas, shops etc.We always find something to do, eat or see when at the strand.

Had a lovely stroll along The Strand. Such a beautiful family friendly, dog friendly atmosphere. Lots of lovely shady trees, walking/cycle paths, cafes etc.

Love watching the sun setting over the water whilst fishing down the strand. A magical place in Townsville for the whole family to spend time together.
