Great walk upto Old Joe Hill. 3.5 hour round trip but well worth the effort

Goorooyarroo offers a variety of stunning views over Canberra and the northern suburbs. It's easy to walk to the top of Burnt stump hill in only fifteen minutes from either of the two parking areas off of Horse Park Drive. For those with more time and energy, a walk to the top of Old Joe Hill is rewarded with even more expansive 360 degree views. On a clear day you can even see the windmills on the far side of Lake George. The relatively open landscape makes it easy to walk off track' virtually anywhere in the reserve -- although gaitors are recommended during November and December because of all the burrs and grass seeds that appear at that time of year. You may get lucky and see a shingle-back lizard or echidna foraging across the grasslands. And

An excellent spot for a walk amongst red box and yellow box gums. Very quiet with hardly anyone around. Nice and flat. Well-maintained trails. Good parking.

Gorgeous, open woodland country. Easily accessible. Perfect for lazy long walks, and short cycles. Reminiscent of what the landscape around Canberra looked like prior to settlement. Plenty of wildlife to be seen and views looking back into town.

A very beautiful and scenic nature reserve within very easy reach of anyone in Canberra. Great cycling and walking trails and abundant wildlife.

A nice mature reserve. You need to be agile to get through the roo-proof fences. Not suitable for the elderly or pregnant. It would be nicer if they put seats or tables up on the ridge for watching the sunset.

It's okay. To get the nice view of canberra, you have to go off the main trail and it's easy to get lost as its unmarked

Great tracks to do running, and see nature up close. Early mornings and late evenings the deeper you go the more likely you will see a herd of kangaroos. Good for also doing a bush track and all trails lead back to civilization so you won't get lost. Bring a hat, sunscreen and waterbottle.
