2nd Ave IGA

So disappointed when I came in this morning and looked at yesterdays salad selection which was wilted and dry was advised they NOW keep the range from yesterday that has been kept over night for sale until around lunch time when it is made in the afternoon.This was never a practice of the old owners which was the reason why 2nd Ave was a place of high quality produce.

The crackers and cheese section is to die for!! We also love most bakery goods. The tasting plate for the salsa is why we come and shop here, it’s so tasty you need to try it!!! Only thing letting us down was possibly asking the Italian man who makes the lasagne if he can make it taste REAL not like out of a packet. The gravy on our beef was a bit watery too, we like it thick but had good flavour at least xx

Over priced!!Like… $7 for a single, small cooked chicken breast that has been sat under a heat lamp for hours??Reduced Quiche that’s still $19.04?? Why would anyone want to pay that on something that is expiring? Or the meat that is “reduced” has 50c taken off it usually.Get with the times.The staff are wonderful, but honestly, RIP OFF PLACE. Go to Spudshed in Morley if you need a 24/7 place. Not far away.

Have popped into this IGA several times over the years and never had an issue. Staff were always pleasant. After today though, seriously reconsidering ever going back. Had 2 girls on the checkout who were very rude and disrespectful. I didnt grab their names but wish I did. Really soured the whole experience

“DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR & VISIT THIS IGA”I would have to say that this IGA (Cnr 2nd Ave & Beaufort st) has to be one of the best IGA stores I have personally visited/shopped at. Although you are paying higher prices than the main supermarkets, you can almost always guarantee that the quality of the products at this IGA store is exceptional, and if not exceptional, then extremely good and fresh.They have a huge variety of fruit/veg, meats, dairy, freezer, bakery sections and more.The selection of fresh cakes are” to die for”, and they have almost any type of breads/loaves you can think of. They have a cold cut meat sections, coffee/ drinks section including a coffee machine to make yourself a coffee for just $2.00. They also have pies, sausage rolls, pasties, variety of fresh salads and also roast dinners, whether lamb, chicken, beef with all the vegetable and gravy if you wish.They have beautiful fresh flowers, and the staff regardless are always so very friendly and helpful.There is parking right outside the store as it is within the 2nd Avenue Plaza Centre, or undercover/underground parking.Well done to this IGA.

Was after a custard filled donut from deli, where before staff grabbed and packed it. Now nobody is able to do this anymore. Not my job""

Awesome selection of fresh, dried and packaged produce here. A lot of products I'd never ever seen before, including a fancy dog treats self-serve section! I would give it 5 stars but the prices are crazy expensive for some of the essentials. $8.50 for a carton of eggs! Bread is not cheap either.

i love this place. i always go here maybe 4 times a week but tonight i went to buy some stuff and there was a new guy on the cashier, on friday 12th of january at 11:50pm. he was very rude. i like the IGA here and the people, they are always helpful and smiling and i do not think he belongs in this place or maybe he should be trained better or this place is not a good fit for him.
