My experience with Australian Orthodox Funerals Pty Lid has left my whole family devastated. Firstly, Andreas Tziotzis did not explain to me or my oldest brother, that he would be driving my brother's three week old deceased body across two states, on a humid night and hot November morning for over 8 hours, unrefrigerated. As my brother's power of attorney I did not ask him to spare me the flight cost of my brother's casket, which would have ensured the body was refrigerated. Secondly, Andreas Tziotzis proceeded to open my brother's casket in front of more than 20 people in the church, without consulting family members first. The smell was overwhelming, and blow flies were coming out of the casket. I believe Andreas Tziotzis as a funeral director totally disregarded his duty of care and legal obligations to the preparation of the deceased's body, pursuant to all funeral directors in the Health Act 2012, and disrespect to the deceased's family members and friends.
