Australia Post - Newstead LPO

Super friendly staff. Excellent service. I primarily use it to collect parcels my super friendly Aus Post postman cannot deliver if I am not home. I only wish Aus Post would try one more delivery attempt but I know that my parcel will be waiting for me at the post office and once I supply ID it is a painless process.

Small office, extremely limited parking, and not a very “quick” place to get things done - although staff at Post Office section are friendly and accomodating. Has been several accounts where office is closed, despite being marked open online - could definitely communicate better with their customers.

I had forgotten my ID after driving 32 minutes before work and showed another proof of ID but the rude owner began shouting at me for no reason and using his voice loudly. Overall very rude person as I just tried speaking to him politely to see another way I could get the parcel and he was not cooperating at all.Would never recommend sending a parcel here again unless you want to be verbally abused

Owners are horrible people. My parcel was delivered straight to the post office instead of being left in my mail room which was the driver at fault obviously. I had contacted aus post who were lovely and assisted me, they sent a request for the parcel to be re-delivered as the opening hours do not suit me, the aus post customer service rep had explained that they are able to organise and accept on their end for this parcel to be re-delivered, HOWEVER after many attempts trying to reach the number of this post office, I ended up having to leave work hours earlier and walked in the heat. I got there asked why they didn’t accept the RE-delivery I was told “go complain to star track then it’s a star track post don’t complain to us” this was ABSOLUTELY NOT a star track parcel and even had that confirmed after the fact. I tried to explain health conditions and working hours and not having a license is very difficult and it would have saved me I then got told to “LEAVE” “GET OUT WE DONT CARE”

My favourite post office in the area. The owners are very friendly and happy to help. They also open half an hour earlier than the others, so it's great to stop by before work. Thanks!

I know it seems weird to rate an LPO/Post office. But this really is the best post office I've been too. Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff, have helped me ship parcels domestic and internationally, always friendly and a great atmosphere in the shop.

Warning DO NOT go here. I asked for express post packages for a parcel and letter to send overseas (clearly stated 'Sweden') and the man behind the counter gave me packages for Australia only which I could not use. He told me I couldn't use them after I had already written on both and after he had charged me $29. He then refused a refund because he 'didn't hear me' and said I could keep the packages for later. I tried to tell him that wasn't what I came in for and he again refused a refund. Incredibly rude and unhelpful.

Sure some say this place is quirky, but for me it has been and absolute god send. On multiple occasions they have really saved my bum. For a post office this place has everything you need and is rarely particular busy. The staff are extremely helpful - my latest example is when Sunday was the only day I could collect a parcel, I was afraid that it would be left there for weeks, but they were happy to have the store open - on a Sunday - just Soni could pick up the parcel. Small and a little less 'polished' than other post offices but my favourite Australian Post Office ever! The customer service is great and it's never a long wait (although the do sometimes get busy).Staff are very friendly and super helpful.
