Catering By Design - Northern Beaches

I had the privilege of trying some of Catering by Design's food today. It was a pleasurable experience and Karin was approachable and very friendly. I tried the rocky road, brownie and the cheese puffs, which were all incredible. I recommend you try the cheese puffs, the texture was incredible and something I had never experienced before.

Catering By Design were fantastic to work with. From the very first phone call through to the end of the event, Karin & her team were thoughtful, kind, adaptable and very professional. Karin helped me organise a photographer for the day as well as run the event. I couldn't have done it without her! She really made our day special and felt like part of the family. Her food was amazing and her service faultless. I highly recommend Catering By Design & look forward to working with them again in the future.

Karin emanates warmth and generosity, she catered for our mum's winter funeral, making sure everyone had something warm in their hands, something for every taste with plenty of vegan options for my daughter. Her and her staff created a really welcoming and caring atmosphere which helped bring the disparate social groups together like family. Many guests have given my sister and I feedback about what a lovely, memorable event it was. She was incredibly organised and thinking ahead for everything as I was a bit overwhelmed, she was flexible, generous with her time, caring and patient. I highly recommend Catering By Design.

I was so happy with the Service Karin from Catering by Design recently provided. Living interstate and away from our elderly parents has been so tough with Sydney in lockdown, we worry about them constantly and wanted to send them something to lift their spirits. Karin was able to supply a delightful food hamper with delicious home baked goods, pate, sweet and savoury items. Karin was so thoughtful and caring throughout the whole process and communicated promptly at every stage. The hamper was a huge hit with my parents-in-law, it cheered them up considerably. Karin is simply amazing! She always goes above and beyond to make everyone happy, comfortable and well fed. I've been lucky to be at several Catering By Design events over the years (sometimes as a host, other times as a guest) and they have all been top notch. From the food, the staff, the level of care and service... And Karin always turns up with that little extra - small details to make any event run like magic. Karin went above and beyond to ensure that the brief for our COVID safe picnic was met. The delicious food that she prepared was handmade with love to ensure that every single guest, regardless of their dietary needs, was generously catered for. Karin's experience shone through in every aspect of our contact with her. Choosing a menu was easy. Every single item offered was affordable and of the very highest quality. Karin's food was presented with flair and she thought of everything - right down to packets of hand sanitisers and garbage bags to make packing up quick and easy. If you are looking for a truly professional, caring caterer who will listen closely to your needs, provide you with outstanding service and make your personal or professional event stress free, I cannot recommend Karin Slade and Catering By Design more highly. Catering By Design creates experiences, not just events, and your guests will be talking about the one that Karin creates for you well after it is over.

Karin and her team of magicians swept in and took over the kitchen, turned the dining table into a bar and transformed the back yard into party town. I felt like a movie star, enjoying my own party and eating their delicious canapés, wow, I could get used to this. Despite being very busy, Karin was good on her word and delivered up all that she promised and more. Highly recommended.
