Station is due for a revamp but there are no barriers so you can just tap on/off with Opal on the platform. Not many trains stop here unless it's all stops.

There is track work happening and so my usual train is departing from a different platform. There were no announcements informing passengers of the change and the station assistant told me I should have looked at the noticeboard. No care or customer service

Croydon is a lovely, clean, modern and all round well built station. Has the expected facilities, toilets, lifts, information boards. It has a staff member throughout the day and trains arrive regularly. The only problem I have with the station is the speaker will say the ‘next train does not stop at this platform’ for 1-3 even though I haven’t ever seen a train stop there which makes for rather annoying trainspotting. However this is a mild annoyance that doesn’t bother the average commuter. Amazing station staffed by amazing people. Can recommend

I lost my phone on Christmas day (so didn't have access to Google maps) and the man at the station showed me how to get to my grandparents' place. He pretty much saved my Christmas :)

You may can't go into the station because not many train stopes there only 1 or 2.

Great station! Been using it my whole life, easy access to the City Circle and the West. The station quality after the upgrade is fantastic, seating is almost always available and plenty of cover too!
