The Neerim Bower
The first time I saw a satin bowerbird was when I was ten years old at the Melbourne Zoo. I was fascinated by their intensely violet-blue eyes and their attraction to and preoccupation with blue objects. Although the satin bowerbird is dimorphic, the female also has the beautiful violet-blue eyes. This sculpture is a great tribute to this wonderful and cute Australian bird species.

Really neat bit of art. Bower birds are super cute and chunky, so a nice sculpture reflecting the animals is a cool thing to see in a town with such a great natural environment.

The Neerim Bower
I love bower birds and we have a group of 6 living on our property just near there. Such a beautiful way to pay homage to the native fauna.
