Southern Splashbacks & Showerscreens

SSS installed splashbacks in our new kitchen and after inspecting their work some spacers used between the glass and the bench were clearly visible through the silicon and also some of the silicon was not smooth or missing. After contacting SSS the next day, it took them 9 months to return and carry out the repairs but the spacers were still visible. I would not use or recommend this company again because of very poor after sales service and extremely poor attitude from their service man.

Yesterday - 18th April 2016 I had a new shower screen installed by SSS and it is absolutely fantastic. A1 service from start of transaction to the final installation. SSS were prompt, reliable and great value for money. I wish I had heard about them sooner - however the wait is well worthwhile and I would definitely recommend them.Thank you to Andrew and his team for outstanding service and quality.Colleen

bought a frameless showerscreen 4 yrs ago. standing in the bathroom a few days. exploded everywhere. cuts down my legs and hands and other person has stitches in his hands. rang the company saidtheyd ring me back. still waiting. apparently they dont want to know about me or what happened.

We ordered a new kitchen thru Wallspan with Southern Glass Splashbacks as their supplier for our new Smokey Glass Splashback measuring 3.64m however the sample Wallspan have in the Gepps Cross store I was told by Andrew from SGS the paint would ripple around the cutouts for my power points so I agreed to upgrade at the template measure at an extra cost of $300 payable on installation.Installation and payment in cash occurred on Nov 26 2019 and after many emails to both Wallspan and Southern Glass Splashbacks over the last 3 months we still don't have a tax invoice or receipt which I requested on 27/11/2019.We would not recommend either business to family or friends as the whole process has been frustrating with issues at every stage of the process, very quick to take your money but a simple request tax invoice and receipt for our records is too much to ask.

Sloppy job, silicon is all lumpy and on my bench and window frames. And they had to be chased up to get the job done. After explaining that our kitchen installer screwed us over with our $10,000 kitchen and that I had spent weeks crying and still got upset every time I look at it they couldn't believe it. After the quote we waited weeks and had to chase them up to get our splasback, they said it was booked in for the next day and we were not notified, lucky I rang. we had no notice to give our boss notice to make sure someone was home to get it installed. Then whilst installing they scratched our 2pac paint and they said they can get another piece of glass and cover that area which I dont want covered but have again no choice. And yes weeks and weeks later we have to chase them up again. . Not happy at all with this company. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!!!

Terrible company - had my kitchen organised by wallspan who used this company for splashbacks. They double booked me and when the guy arrived he shouted at me in my house for telling him I was unhappy about being late when I had appointments booked my shelf. They then mixed you my sample colours they man then gave me attitude and said your splash back will not be installed till you pick a colour. I have been calling all morning and no reply

I purchased a semi frameless shower screen via Bathrooms by Design. Poor quality construction. A section of rubber surround wasn’t siliconed on properly. Mould gets caught underneath and is impossible to clean. I complained and they weren’t interested in fixing the problem.

Terrible company - avoid. Our clear shower screen that we ordered is green. Company admitted that happens when their clear glass gets placed next to white tiles on the walls. We were told after the installation that we should have asked for super clear glass" - an option never explained to us until after we complained about our glass. No samples were shown during quoting phase and no suggestion that perhaps we should consider the "super clear glass". Isn't clear glass
