Without a doubt, the most jam packed fun you will have learning and dancing salsa with groups of lovely people, under the guidance of the super talented & always funny, Jo Anne. Be warned though, it is very contagious so once you start, you may not be able to stop !

I loved My Little Havana at Hawthorne. I did the beginner level and have signed up for the next level. Jo Anne is not just a beautiful lady, she is an excellent instructor. Once you sign up for a class you have access to online lessons as well, which makes learning a lot easier as you can practice at home by watching them and following the steps. I didn't have a partner - so this made my learning super enjoyable. Highly recommend singles and couples to get along to My Little Havana, Hawthorne.

I have been dancing with My little Havana for just over a year now, I started by just doing a beginners Salsa class, but more recently have been attending upwards of 6classes a week! This is because of the fun learning environment and community feel that My little Havana has! Jo Anne offers a wide range of classes at MLH that really gives everyone a chance to improve their Cuban style. I have learnt so much at MLH and have really developed a love of Cuban dance and music!, met some amazing life long friends along the way and even travelled to Cuba to put my skills to the test!.

Best Latin Salsa Cuban Rueda School in Brisbane. No matter your experience she can take you from 0 to hero while having heaps of fun. For me it has become a mental after work catharsis where no matter how hard a day has been we always leave with a smile. Lovely community. Thank you Jo.

I've been learning to dance salsa with My Little Havana for about two years and the classes have been awesome. Started as a complete newbie and worked up through the beginners class then onto the higher levels. Teachers are always full of energy and make the class fun to be in whilst also keeping it challenging so you are improving. If you want to learn Cuban salsa in a fun environment with lots of great people then My Little Havana is the best place to be.

If you want to learn to salsa, and join supportive community this is the place! Jo is such a wonderful teacher, very welcoming and the community around the studio is also amazing :) From 0 salsa experience to confident to go to events in the city ... I highly recommend whether you're wanting to learn by yourself or with your partner!

Jo Anne has managed to create something really special at My Little Havana, making them the leaders in Cuban salsa and Latin dance in Brisbane.The teachers are some of the most experienced dancers who practice what they preach, and demonstrate a deep love and understanding of Cuban salsa through integration of its history and culture.The class setting is very welcoming and fun to learn in- feeling more like a community rather than a school. Family vibes with a focus on clear explanation and demonstration of proper technique. What more could you ask for?

I Love Jo Anne’s classes! We do couples salsa and I also do ladies Fitness and salsa classes with Jo Anne and have also done a little Samba! Jo Anne has a really fun way to teach and has the whole class laughing the whole way through. The social dances she organises are also really great to practice the moves we learn in class.
