HelloI’m a taxi driver in Gold coast, working hard to pay the bills and who doesn’t want to look at centerlink wages as it puts stress on the State’s budget, but just because there is a monopoly of taxi bases in the city the lease price is ridiculously expensive to just give you an estimate for a single driver the weekly lease price is 1250$ that is more than a mortgage of a house Monthly. As they hold more number plates or the Company(13 cabs or Black & White) they are charging that much just because the number plates are so few that they already have the drivers under there complete control because they don’t have any other source of income. Whenever we say the lease price is so much they(Taxi base owners) doesn’t even think about reducing the lease price . Company’s charge base owners (856 Radio fees + 880 taxi plate including GST monthly ) but they are charging 1250 a week. But in another states effectively very cheaper which is hardly charging around 600$ a month from one driver including everything but in Queensland they charging around 5000$ a month from only one driver. It’s a humble request to premier that please deregulate taxi as soon as possible.thanks

I went to Helensvale to get my camper trailer registered and didn't make it past the condensing service lady. She spoke to me like a I was a child and when I misunderstood one question, she went off. I left very shaken, went home spent an hour on the phone to the Department of Transport to clarify what paperwork is needed.Back I went next day to Southport to a friendly smile from the lady at the service front deck. So helpful and friendly. I couldn't believe my luck.Only a 15 min wait and my number was called. I was served by Lindsay at counter six and she was an angel. Happy and chatty, but still doing her job. She answered all questions I had, as it was my 1st camper trailer so I didn't know what to do. Such a difference to the Helensvale Department. I'll never go back thereThanks Lindsay, you made my day !!!

Arrived to to see the staff member, first point of contact to the TMR , disgraceful. She displays the worst body language with a poor attitude to her her jobHer name was EM . She rolled her eyes Twice when I was trying to explain my situation and was just disrespectful. Please take her off the front desk maybe she should not speak to customers. The hand ond the hip and slouchy ness is not great.sje speaks extremely rude.

Today I had the displeasure of a lady with an English accent on booth 9 who really shouldn't be working there, she was grumpy and rude and quite off putting. She had no customer service skills and there are so many better qualified people out there that would love to have her job.

Positives: Had car registration the other day was super quick and easy.Negatives:Give 1 stars as the public toilets are near the table where driving tester eat lunch.Over heard them laughing about how many they failed. Also conspiring between them about routes and ways to take to fail people. This was absolutely disgusting. All these test givers should be fired.

I needed help and no one wanted to help me because my English is not very good, they have treated me very badly just for trying to explain myself as best as possible in English, only Mike has been the only one to help me with everything. For a foreigner who comes here to study, this paperwork is difficult, especially if they don't help you and treat you badly just for not being from here.

I cleared my driving test in one go. The examiner made me feel very comfortable, so that I could concentrate on safe driving. Thank you team for making my day.

Very very busy the day I went, but that's because it was the 1st day open after new years. Staff are lovely. Served by a lady with her L plates on which I never would have known until she pointed it out.

Despite being there during a busy part of the day, the staff were all very helpful, friendly, easygoing and yet still very professional. The service desk was able to manage multiple people at once while remaining composed. It made the process of getting an ID card there quite quick and simple.
