Illawarra Animal Hospital - Figtree

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience here. I visited in June 2022 for a routine consult for my puppies vaccinations. The Dr didn't greet my pup, make any attempt to make him feel comfortable (he was 8 weeks old and terrified) and nothing was explained to me about his vaccines or health. It felt like they didn't want to be there at all. I left feeling confused and unwelcome. My only guess is that the Dr wasn't a dog person?I have since visited another practice where I left feeling informed, supported and like they genuinely cared about my pup. As it should be.

Dr Ryan was amazing with our ginger cat. He treated him like his own and made us feel at ease leaving him overnight.We were incredibly stressed and upset, and Dr Ryan's attitude helped so much. Thankyou!

After our idiot greyhound found a basket of chocolate Easter eggs and ate them, we had to ring around madly looking for an after hours vet and thankfully contacted the Illawarra Animal Hospital at Figtree. The staff were so good from our very first call they were helpful and very professional. We ended up arriving after their closing time and they didn’t care at all treating our dog straight away. Rebecca the Vet was lovely, very professional and reassuring, Jade the Vet nurse on duty was fantastic. What a great team. We were blown away by how lovely and caring they all were .. we can’t thank them enough. So highly recommended .

Lovely to our dog very caring and thorough but very busy and hard to get to talk to at times.

My bird is dead. Enough said. Terrible communication. Was meant to get a call from a vet to talk about what happened, but of course no one called. I wholeheartedly believe my bird would still be alive today if it was communicated to me that he was ready to be picked up. I honestly regret taking my bird here.Update: in response to the response. I do not believe this to be true. My bird had sour crop which is a VERY COMMON condition that many young birds get. Poe was not very sick" as you state. Poe had a mold case of sour crop. I do not appreciate that your reply tries to palm this off as an extreme case when it clearly wasn't. This was a case of neglect. None of your attempts at contacting me made any reference to him being ready to be picked up

The best veterinary care ever .Highly recommendedProfessional and with exceptional experience , the only vet I trust for my animals health and care .I’d give 10 stars if possible

They were great in our final days with our cat Maia. They allowed her to live out her final days gracefully and looked after her very well.

Outstanding service. My puppy was attacked by a dog and needed to have a wound assessed. When I rang they fit him in right away and were so reassuring. As my puppy was quite nervous they cleared the waiting room and were so patient and gentle with him. The nurse assessing him, Lauren, was particularly amazing with him and made sure he was comfortable for his first vet visit since his puppy vaccines. I couldn’t have asked for better service and kindness.
