I trust Jim and Arthur to service all my cars...an aussie classic a french hot hatch and a work hack...they are always very helpful and take the time to explain what the car needs and how much it will cost. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for good mechanics who are passionate about cars.

In the end they really let me down and actually ignored my calls for assistance. Failed to notice that the battery lead was not secured correctly and installed a new starter motor that I did not need. At one stage they had the car for three weeks and when I got it back it was still malfunctioning. Took it to Regan Motors in Hawthorn and they gave me excellent service. Car has never run better. Do not take your car to this business.

I've been using Arthur & Jim as mechanics for our Citroens for 10 years after getting fed up with the cost and impersonal service from the dealers. Old fashioned values here - they know what they're doing, communicate really well, and charge fairly. Was reminded of this last month when the clutch on our Citroen prematurely and mysteriously packed up just out of warranty. Arthur worked out the cause of the problem with the auto gear change, and charged me far less than he should have (and a happy ending as Citroen came good with the full repair cost). Highly recommended.
