Gidgee Inn Motel
Looked promising. However they wouldn't let me park my light truck in front of my room. My truck was full of our belongings and couldn't park it elsewhere. Very pleasant appearance. We would've been happy to stay.

Walked into room after checking in and noticed air conditioner unit was very noisy. Advised staff member straight away only to be told “they are all old and all units in every room will be the same”. They didn’t offer to check if another room would be quieter to swap rooms even with it being off peak time and most other rooms were empty. They did not seem to care about rectifying the situation so I requested a refund. Also noticed the dinner menu did not have much variety with only had 2 options .. chicken schnitzel or chicken parmigiana. Otherwise the room itself did look nicely presented.

Probably the best place to stay in the Curry. The rooms are a bit outdated, but they are specious, clean, well air conditioned (a must out that way), and very comfortable. Staff are always really lovely. Check in and out is very straightforward. Plenty of off-street parking, as well as on-street as well. Comfortable and cosy, this is my place of choice when I stay in Cloncurry.

This place has such a good potential. The rooms are huge and the bathroom feels very luxurious. I stayed here twice in different rooms and a few things were broken in each room and there was body hair on the toilet seat and some more hair in the shower. The food was average. I think if they cut costs of providing amenities and put that to cleaning this would be a great place!

One of the worst hotels we have staying in..it was like faulty towers. The manager did not lift a finger while dinner rush was on and strolled around the restaurant with a chefs uniform on....there was so much more wrong. He left taps running full blast on the gardens for hours...the food was terrible for the premium price. The salad was tiny and the chicken was frozen reconstituted.

Pet friendly out doors. Walked across from caravan park, which meant we could enjoy a lovely glass of red! The meal was delicious, we had steak & veg. Other guest had mushroom gnocci which she said was very good. Nice mild night to sit out under verandah, thankyou for being pet friendly.

It’s a shame to see such a nice place not maintained very well. Our room was nice and spacious, bed was fine, but it was not very clean. Bathroom was grubby, hair still on walls and floor, the taps and toilet dripped all night. Door handle was broken and carpets could use a clean. The service at checkin was ok, but not friendly. The restaurant is not open on Sunday nights and there was no help in finding anywhere else to eat. Doesn’t really make me want to stay here again.

Nice room very spacious with good quality furnishings clean and comfortable, unfortunately the room smelled a bit of BO.The soft furnishings need a steam clean to get rid of the sweaty smell.Had a nice pool with a camp kitchen
