As mentioned by others, you need to say in the newer motel, where the front desk is. They control another older motel across the road, which they've left to rot, and man is it rank. Room 2 where I spent a sorry night is like staying in an abandoned building. It's a bad joke. Everything is rotten, broken, damaged, or so old it should have been burnt long ago. It was disgusting. I wouldn't keep a dog in it. To cap off this awful experience, there was a shocking odor coming from the floor drains in the bathroom, a sulfuric smell that made me feel ill, until I figured out where it came from and closed the bathroom door and a set a rotten old towel at the floor gap. It's only $105 for the night, but don't do it. When i asked the desk in the morning if they'd visited the room lately, they got indignant and told me they get requests for that room all the time

There are no knives, forks, spoons or plates in the room. Thank goodness we brought our, the restaurant is closed.

Stayed here a few weeks ago for a work trip, reverse cycle heating in the room didn’t work- not ideal on 2° and under nights, reverse cycle has instructions under the unit on the wall, followed them yet it kept turning itself off and due to being booked out nothing could be done, shower turned itself completely on, no indication of a faulty tap- just ghosts not liking our company. moved two of the single beds together to make a bigger bed and there was crumbs and matchbox cars under the bed so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly in months, bathroom smelt murky and the facilities are very dated- such a cold room.

Great location in the centre of town. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. Walking distance to the pub and a couple of restaurants.Cobar is not a big town but the Town & Country is a good place to stay.

Great service. Only one complaint. Shampoo sachets were impossible to open without a knife

Staff very infriendly and requested we park some very expensive vehicles on the road. No negotiation. We packed up and left immediately. A mining town so no f@#$s given. Stay away. These people are not good hosts.

Nice rooms very clean, bed very comfortable. Only thing was a very loud banging noise during the night . which went all night so much so we heard someone complaining in the early hours. In he next room complaining about the loud sound .Also advertised a dinning room for evening meals but was not operational for dinner or breakfast. Pretty poor night

We had to leave another motel due to there being no hot water or wifi, so this place was excellent in comparison. Nice water pressure in shower, pool, BBQ. The wifi was a bit sketchy & there was no smart TV but I travel with a google chromecast & used hotspot on my phone which fixed that problem.

Nice and clean, rooms need an update, desk chair was old and ragged, sink tap was leaking, shower leaks everywhere as there's no shower screen and curtain is too short.Food was outstanding, went to order and appeared a bit more fancy than how i was dressed so i ordered the surf and turf for roomservice. Hands down the best surf and turf ive ever eaten!!! Well down!!
