It’s really disappointing how little (only 4) stations they have at such a busy stop. There must have been hundreds of cars that passed through this very petrol station in the hour that I had to wait for a charging station to become available. Imagine what the queues will be like in a years time when only 5% of those petrol vehicles upgrade to EVs…

Handy location right outside the eateries. The entrance to the chargers is regularly blocked by long lines of cars coming through the service station forecourt during busy times. Parking is difficult because reverse parking at the entrance to the carpark puts you in the line of all of this traffic. Probably would have been better up the other end of the carpark but, oh well. Only once have I turned up and the chargers were faulty.

My experience with these chargers over a 12mth period is real hit-and-miss. I generally use the super fast chargers, and speeds vary between very slow to reasonable. I now only stop here if needed - otherwise Avenel is a better option (for speed and reliability).

Chargefox Charging Station
I have used several between Melbourne and Sydney in the last two weeks. Generally they are trouble free. I had to connect to three different charging points at Euroa on 04/12/22 to get one that would deliver a high output. One of the rapid chargers only got as high as 30kW for a short time then stopped. EVs are great but, charging ease needs to catch up.
