New Town Falls

Very pretty, I'd consider the walk up difficult definitely not a good idea if you're not moderately fit and able

Great medium grade walk. Very secluded and generally devoid of people the morning we went which was great. This is not a tourist" waterfall. It's secluded and takes a good 1 hour uphill walk to get there. It's easy enough for a family to do. Make sure to pack wet weather gear

Nice spot for bush walking.Went there on end of April and we didn’t see any waterfall.

Great little trek up the mountain. A little steep coming down the fire trail (but you can also come down the way you went up which is pretty and with stairs). Most of the way is in the shade of trees, but the exertion of the climb will warm you up.The falls are lovely and have room to sit and relax in the shade and enjoy the water coming down.If you continue from the falls a bit instead of going back you will be rewarded with a great view of Hobart's suburbs and the Derwent river.We spotted two small wallabies in the bush and heard a few birds but otherwise not that eventful regarding wildlife.Parking was easy, and bins are available at the entrance with dog poo bag dispenser attached!Very nice 2 hour walk close to Hobart.

The walk is waaaaaay more steep than described, but definitely worth it.

Lovely spot, not vey new though quite an old and ancient waterfall if you ask me.

Usually almost dry, but nice when there is a bit of water

hardest walk I've accomplished to date..2.5 hrs from Lenah V Rd past falls to the Chalet. All uphill for 2.5hrs except for 2 small flat areas. Highly recomended.(known as old hobartian trk)

Feels like other reviews are part of a joke to make you think this is ‘medium grade’. Seriously steep fire trail, and quite challenging on the way down.
