Slater Pumps

Beware do not use Slater Pumps. I would be happy to give zero stars. Lesson was learned by not getting a written quote. Verbally quoted a repair on a basket filter and received the invoice for more than double the original price. Additionals repairs were made without communicating it too me first. Upon contacting Slater to discuss was told I would be contacted when Peter had the invoice in front of him. He never called back. Poor communication and lack of respect for customers. And a subtle sense of chauvinism.

Experienced, very knowledgeable, and despite what some of these reviews say, extremely good customer service. Will be coming back to Slater's if I ever have a similar issue again!

Very professional company. Nothing was too much. We brought a house with a pool 10 months ago. Peter came out showed us how everything works and how to look after our pool. Their prices are great.We would highly recommend and will be using again for future pump problems that may arise

Had my malfunctioning unit collected by Slater on 6th December 21. Have made several calls to try and obtain an update on whether fixable or new unit required. Too busy" to speak to me each time and every promise to "call back this afternoon' has not occurred. I know it's a busy time of year

Shocking service, do not use these guys! It took over a month to get back to me after calling every week only to tell me my pump needed to be cleaned out and didn't need any parts. Tried to sting me $484 which is more than the pump was worth.Wish I could give zero stars!!!

We run a 30 room hotel and conference facility in the Macedon Ranges. We rely on pumps to provide water to our facility. Last Wednesday our main 3 phase pump went dead and too old to fix. We contacted Peter at Slater Pumps who provided gold standard advice and ordered a new generation triplex pump system from Sydney. The system arrived by midday the next day and we were installed and up and running by midday Friday.Could not be happier with the faultless service, advice and strategic execution. If only all life's problems could be fixed so simply.Cheers to great team.

Whilst I see many other negative reviews regarding customer service, this was not my experience. I was facing an emergency with a failed sump pump during extreme weather and risk of flooding. Despite it being a Sunday, Peter took my call, and even though he was away from Melbourne, made a special effort to get back to Footscray to open the shop and meet me to purchase a replacement pump.As I was unable to get a plumber out at short notice, we exchanged multiple calls and text messages where he guided me to remove the pump and eventually replace it myself. He continued to text through the course of the evening to help me address challenges with the installation.Very happy with the out of hours positive service.Thanks Peter.

Slaters quoted $660 to fix the seals and bearings on a pump, they said, cost $1475 new. Instead, I bought a brand new pump (same type and model) for $703 delivered from another dealer. Beware dealing with Slaters.

Needed a repair to my pool pump back in the summer at very late notice. I called multiple competitors, with none of them willing to work during the holidays period, until I found Slater's. Price was much cheaper than all competitors, and they had good service throughout the process. Safe to say my New Year's party was a success!Will be coming back to Slater Pumps if I ever need a repair again.
