A quite well stocked general store for a small town. Groceries, fruit and vegetables, bread, as well as newspapers and magazines are here, they also have coffee and pies for sale. Surprisingly, they also have several examples of branded merchandise, I purchased a cloth tote bag and a trucker-cap, both emblazoned with the Taralga General Store logo.Several reviews mention how friendly the staff are, this was my experience as well. While I was browsing, the lady who was working here was happily chatting to a local. When it was time for me to make my purchases, she took the time to tell me a little of the history of the store and its place in the town. Years ago when the town had a movie cinema, they would open store during intermission to sell snacks to the movie audience. A nice bit of local history.I hope I get a chance to visit this store again. If I do, I'll make sure to buy a coffee and a pie or two. Oh, and I'll have to remember to wear my Taralga General Store trucker cap !
