Paul Bros DRY Cleaners

A $350.00 Eton business shirt which I had not worn before, was not adequately pressed. Also, a thick safety pin was placed through the shirt beneath the collar, leaving two visible holes. I feel like throwing the shirt out. In my ten years of having business attire dry cleaned, I’ve never witnessed the practice of thick pins being placed through fine shirts.Concurrent to this, I had also dropped off my partner’s new $500 Scanlan Theodore garment for stain removal. Initially, the stain was a few shades darker than the wool and has now changed to bright pink in colour. Again, I've had to throw the garment out. No mention of this was provided at the time of pickup. Both items are luxury purchases that we do not often buy.Upon calling the store, the attendant was apologetic and provided a refund; however, they indicated that the store owner was not prepared to discuss this with me – despite him being present at the time. If I could give this business zero stars, I would.

DO NOT TAKE ANY GARMENTS TO PAUL BROS DRY CLEANERS!On Monday the 17th of January I contacted Paul bros dry cleaners in regards to getting my wedding dress cleaned through them I told them it was heavily laced and heavily beaded and asked if they could Do it or recommend someone that could do it. They toldMe they can do it and if they can’t they’ll send it to the central coast to a wedding dress specialist. I also made them aware about a alcohol stain on the dress and I was told they can get it out. (Website even states they can get any stain out).I took my dress in that same day and I was told it’ll take 4-6 weeks for my dress to be ready. I paid extra to have my dress preserved and boxed. 10 days later I get a text saying my dress is ready. My husband goes and picks it and pays. Nothing was mentioned to him.When I get home and open my dress to find that a lot of the beading has been ripped off the dress, an actual rip in my dress, heaps of loose threads through out the dress and the stain still there.This morning I spoke to Paul the owner of Paul bros dry cleaners and was told “well that’s the risk you take when getting it dry cleaned” not once was I made aware that my dress might get absolute destroyed. I was told that it would be taken to a specialist on the central coast. He also admitted to throwing my dress in a regular washing machine. I’m no expert by can clearly see that my dress needs to be hand washed. And the cherry on top of it all was he said “ well you can get it repaired”.No responsibility, no acknowledgement and no compassion for myself and what they have done to my dress that I can’t do anything with now. They have refunded the machine wash fee of $300 however, will not pay any repairs or compensation for the damage to a $10,000 dress. I’m absolutely disgusted and will be taking this further!

I have visited Paul Brothers a number of times. I took a tie in 3 weeks ago after getting a small water based stain on it. I let them know why it was there and they apparently steam cleaned it. I received the tie back and it looked like it hadn't been touched so returned again and very apologetically made them aware that my tie still had the water stain. I received my tie back again and the exact same thing occurred so I went in and spoke with another lady (older with glasses and extremely grumpy) and explained the situation and what the issue was. They said that they would give it another go". Well

Service absolutely second to none—the staff went above and beyond to make sure my garments would be ready in time for a special event and they came out looking fantastic. My only regret is that I don't have more suits to dry clean here. Can't recommend them highly enough

I had my daughters wedding dress dry cleaned before and after the big day, I must say the dress was immaculate both times.I have also used Paul bros for other dry cleaning needs and would definitely recommend them.Counter staff are friendly and courteousDefinitely 5 stars from me

If I could rate this dry cleaners at 0 I would. Been here twice, the first time they put a thick safety pin through one of my business shirts and the second they left water stains, crease marks and another pin through my shirt (see photos). The shirt came back more wrinkled then when it went in.Take your items to a dry cleaner that take pride in their work.

Excellent customer service! The staff are friendly and the service is immaculate. Paul Bros are definitely the best in the industry for the Newcastle area.

The staff are very friendly and courteous, my dry cleaning was completed before the promised date & looked great! Off street parking is so helpful as well. Highly recommend! :~)
