Wonderful adults only retreat.Short walk to Hastings street down some wilderness stairs.Our 2 bedroom unit was exactly what we needed!Alan & Patrick are a delight; helpful, friendly & respectful of our privacy.Brand new bathroom & WC. Silent room fans.Spacious living/dining space.Great for couples looking for a getaway.Would certainly book again!

Arrived to a dirty unkempt pool, some broken furniture and a non functioning dishwasher. The air conditioning promised at the start of the year was nowhere to be found. We had booked in for a week, so were a little disappointed but made do. When the owners returned and got it fixed it had been 4 days of the 7. The pool was cleaned up enough to look tempting on the same day. We had 2 paying guests join us for a BBQ, where one of the owners inquired if we were leaving the next day. We informed him that we were booked for 2 more nights. This seemed to annoy him, i later found out they had double booked the apartment because they had launched through AirBnB and us, having paid earlier in the year, were inconvenient to their newly found demand. After a troubling night of sleep with the owners entertaining guests in frotn of the apartment and talking loudly till the early hours of the morning, we awoke the next morning to the one of the owners storming in to the apartment and about to enter the bathroom where the two other guests were having a shower together. Apparently water had splashed out of the shower area and gone down the floor drain. This was unacceptable apparently. The second owner came up and declared we were the worst people he had ever met and wanted us to clean up and vacate the premises. Needless to say this was quite the shock to all of us. We cleaned up and got them to inspect the apartment finding only their own muddy footprints and nothing else, we left quite upset at this obvious ploy to make space for their double booking. A sad turn of events, and we will not be returning to such a place. We look forward to staying at one of the other more professionally run and drama free hotels in the area next time. But it is a shame they tarnished the memories of the time we did enjoy there...
