I stayed 6 weeks in the East ward and I've mixed experience but mostly very bad experience. A few" Nurses were very nice and professional but the majority of them were just wages collectors. Rude

I have had two inpatient admissions with Brunswick Private Hospital to date and my experience has been nothing short of impeccable. The doctors nursing staff and psychologists have always gone out of their way to help me in times of need and have been caring, kind and compassionate when doing so.The facilities in the ward I stayed in are always clean and are cleaned daily, bright and airy. Whilst being in hospital during the COVID lockdown was difficult, the hospital was always accommodating, letting family drop off items to me and always allowing me have window visits.I have always felt comfortable here and would come back if I needed to!

My Mum had her rehab here after surgery. Reading the reviews I was apprehensive about her admission. Our 3 week experience with the hospital has been great! The doctors, nurses, therapists all treated mum with genuine care and nurture. I felt comfortable leaving her there each night, knowing she was well looked after. Her room was always clean, sheets changed daily, food was of high standard, facilities were clean and the sessions were consistent and specific to her needs. Thank you to all the medical staff at BPH for your professional and caring support of my Mum.

Firstly , there's a couple of great people here. The doctors and the physios .As for nurses the one that's the least worse is the best one you'll get.I'm stuck here coz of my knee but if I could get out I'd be long gone.Food is very average and most of the time cold., can't wait to get out !!!!!

Really need to thank Liz (Elizabeth) that works as an ultrasound technician in this hospital for the professionality, good manners and sense of humanity. She was more than amazing. I have been in another diagnostics centre, a few days earlier, for the same identical procedure and it was a more than terrible experience. The procedure was carried out in an unbeliveable rush and the technician was arrogant and with bad attitude. The whole process lasted not more than four minutes, I have had the same scan done many times before and it has never been less than twenty minutes. The results did not make any sense and therefore I needed to repeat the ultrasound again. That proved that my suspects were founded. The results were very much different and accurate.Thank you again Liz for being so professional and human, you deserve more than five stars.

I’m a family member of a patient, I really appreciate the hard work of the nurses and overall specialist in this facility. But, while I was there I witnessed a women yelling at some students at work which gave my full attention to that women. She had no professionalism nor behavior to see if it’s acceptable to yell at someone like that on the floor while on duty when there’s people surrounding her. I’m so ashamed that Brunswick hospital has such negative people who doesn’t have manners. I noted her name afterwards which was “Nadya” by asking one of the nurses. This is not a tolerable manner for a hospital basis to have such vicious behavior.

I spent over 2 months recovering from a broken leg at Brunswick Private Hospital. Most of the staff are lovely, the food is above average for hospital food but sometimes the onsite kitchen struggled with consistency and creativity in catering for me as a vegan. The environment was peaceful which was paramount to my recovery. Rooms are cleaned daily and they provide nice bed linens. I would recommend this hospital if you need rehabilitation from an injury. The reception staff are great also and kindly brought my deliveries to my room on many occasions without being asked. The cafe is very overpriced. Over $5 for a 600ml bottle of Coke for example or almost $10 for 2 SMALL lattes. The cafe staff are also a little rude. The hospital is often understaffed and patients are required to be patient. At the beginning of my admission when I was completely reliant on nursing staff as I didn't have any mobilty, on a few occasions I had to wait for almost an hour to be taken to the bathroom. I couldn't take myself and this became a distressing situation. The other negative is the hospital doesn't have any toiletries on hand for patients. Even public hospitals can give you shampoo when you need it. This to me was so odd.To the nurses and in particular Kyla, Nandy and Pacifico, you 3 are the benchmark for all nurses. You were exceptional, kind, empathetic, patient, accommodating, knowledgeable, funny, friendly and went above and beyond. You are a genuine asset not only to the hospital but also to your patients who have the privilege of you caring for them. I wish you all every success. To Dr. Bong who looked after me and managed my treatment, thank you so much for everything. It's not often in my experience that a doctor invests so much time, effort and resources into a patient. Your knowledge, kindness and patience meant more to me than you'll ever know. I am eternally grateful. For all the good you are doing in this world and for those under your care, may good fortune favour you always. To my physiotherapist Nicola, you made everything bearable and never gave up on me even when I didn't believe in myself. Your sweet laugh and sense of humour always made my day. Thank you for your time, encouragement, support and sense of humour. You're amazing at what you do and I wish you all the very best in your trajectory. To Nikita (Kia) who was a student nurse for only a few weeks and may never see this review, you have a very bright future ahead of you. Your ability to build instant rapport, your kindness and your genuine care just shines. Good luck with everything. To anyone I forgot to mention, those I met only once or twice, to the very beautiful and kind lady from the kitchen who would bring me my chamomile every evening without me asking and everyone else behind the scenes thank you from the bottom of my heart.Whilst this could have easily been an email as opposed to a public review, I believe in credit where credit is due. People rarely go out of their way to highlight positive things. I want prospective patients to see that being sick or injured and requiring hospital care needn't be a completely negative experience.

I came to Brunswick private the first time. I was in the mental health ward. The place was very basic for a private hospital. The rooms were very basic. The food was appauling. And it was barely Luke warm. The place was dirty the rooms were cleaned daily but it was so badly done there was hardly any point. They took well under ten minutes to clean the room and bathroom the air conditioner smelt and the common areas were filthy l wouldn't recommend this hospital to a yone. Avoid at all costs
