I highly recommend Luke, Jess, and the team at LoFi Music. I recently had my vintage synth restored there, and their knowledge and communication skills are outstanding. Luke walked me through every part of the process, included his recommendations, and even taught me things about my synth that I didn’t previously know. He was always happy to explain anything I wasn’t clear about, and I really appreciated his commitment to saving an original part, even though replacements might have been easier for him.I just received my synth back from LoFi and after playing with it thoroughly I can say that I am ecstatic with how it looks and feels, and also without doubt that my synth has never sounded as good as it does now. I have no hesitation in recommending LoFi and Luke.I made initial enquires with a few different places and LoFi were by far the most professional and eager to help me. I’m now looking at some of the items for sale in their store, as I’m sure I could trust anything they have worked on. Can’t say enough good things about them!

I had a mid 80's Roland Synth brought back to life by the technicians at LOFI Music. Roland Technical support had previously said they wouldn't repair it.LOFI Music's initial advice and recommendations were accurate, and their subsequent reconstruction of the unit was excellent, resulting in this 33 year old system completely restored to an as new condition". Their charge for the service was less than what I expected for the quality of their work. A job well done. I recommend their service."

I have a beautiful Technics RS1500 reel to reel tape machine that needed the record function fixed and a general service to be functional in my studio. Due to the complex nature of vintage reel to reels I found it hard to find anyone who would even look at the machine. In came Luke and his wonderful team at LoFi Music. I sent the machine to Luke and the work he did on it blew me away. Not only does the machine work properly again, it has never sounded better. I was amazed at how clean he managed to get it sounding, what's coming out of the machine is now at mastering spec. Can't recommend this company enough, it's so hard to find technicians that will work on vintage musical equipment, especially at such a high skill level. Thanks again.

I bought an MPC1000 from LOFI and was very happy with the purchase. Upon taking it home I found there was a slight glitch on the machine that was causing it to crash in a very specific circumstance. After emailing the team Luke got back to me promptly, and told me I could bring it back in to get it fixed. Luckily, once he'd run a few tests we were able to resolve the issue there and then.Great customer service, very helpful and very chill bunch of people.

LoFi are my go-to place for synth and electronic musical instrument repairs. Luke is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and intellectually honest about all the technical issues that he deals with and he has managed to bring back more than one of my instruments from the dead.Repair prices are very competitive and parts are sourced inexpensively so most work won't break the bank. Work is done thoroughly and invoices are properly itemised so you know what you're paying for.It's great to just drop in for a chat so the commute is no bother if you have to drop something off. I believe that there's going to be a showroom of sorts in the near future so there will be even more reason to visit. Prices on second-hand kit seem to be pretty reasonable and you can be guaranteed that any gear sold will have been given a thorough once-over and even a proper clean(!).Couldn't recommend this place more highly.
