Express Lube

The staff were nice and friendly and the price was good for a general service and rego inspection. However they told me my brakes were 100% worn and needed to be replaced, they couldn’t get the parts to do so on the day and I needed to bring it back later to get them replaced. Decided to visit another mechanic who checked my brakes and said there were only 50% worn and wouldn’t needed to be replaced for a while that saved me $1600, this mechanic has also said he has had quite a few people with the same issue come to him from express lube. When I spoke to the staff at express lube there response was almost very scripted that they use a digital tool to measure the brakes and they go of that. Cannot recommend using them for any mechanical work as they are likely to ripe you off. Only used them to get a rego inspection and service done as I couldn’t get into my normal mechanic.

Six months from purchase they now have serviced the vehicle and it drives reliably and like new. Fantastic for a 12+ year warranty of car and makes me sure to take my other vehicle to Express Lube now that it is out of new car warranty. The mechanics are superior technicians and more cost effective than the branded vehicle dealers.Five months after buying vehicle they have now rebuilt the suspension to deliver an excellent driving experienceI had just bought this vehicle secondhand so needed a report on its overall condition and any mechanical repairs that needed to be immediate or down the track. The foreman mechanic met with me after the service and provided a fully documented typed report that we can work through the issues. I could not have been happier with the service booked in with only one days notice and delivered on a Saturday.

I visited your West Gosford premises on 31/3/23 and asked the receptionist for a service and rego check. She asked if I wanted to wait and I sat in the waiting room. Later my name was called and I was given an invoice for a rego inspection so I asked about the service. She said that I never asked for it and I said to her that she was incorrect. She replied that it was too late in the day for a service so I paid the rego fee (which is normally free with a service) and she told me to come back the following week for the service. I have been bringing my vehicles for many years to your workshop and as your records would show I have always asked for a service and rego check when it is due. So now I have to pay for a service (as well as having to pay for a rego check). Maybe our receptionist should listen to what is being asked as she seemed a little distracted at the time. Another unhappy customer!!!

Just had my Mercedes Sprinter campervan serviced at Express Lube. They had hoists that can lift a high top van which has been a problem for me and just wanted an oil change as I was driving to WA and my regular Mercedes service could not fit me in. I discovered they have the Mercedes electronic diagnostic equipment so had a full service. These guys know their stuff. I’m writing this from Perth after a fast 3 day passage averaging just under 100Km/hour over the 4,200 Km trip and posting this to let everybody know Express Lube are the real deal in automotive service. And without all the pretentiousness of “prestige” the service cost me only 2/3rds of what I normally pay.My next Audi service will also be at Express Lube.

Took our car in for a service and to have the brakes specifically checked due to them squeaking. Got a call saying the windscreen wipers needed replacing, even though the previous day I purchased, installed and tested brand new wipers. They then told me they were 'broken', and after told me they had replaced them anyway for free.. though the wipers were the exact same as the ones I bought. And to top it all off they said the brakes had been looked at though they continue to squeak as bad as ever!!
