Life changing. The Masada team are magnificent, from the nurses and midwives to Dr Lou, they all play such an important part in a literally life changing experience.I have a baby with suspected allergies, would refuse bottles and this would impede her sleep and growth. I already had a schedule but she was still up multiple times a night. From night 2, for the first time ever, she had a full nights sleep. She now eats. She doesn’t cry anywhere near as much. She’s so much happier. This team bring it all together in a really consistent way. I was still a sceptic day 3 but by day 4, I wasn’t anymore. They’ve taken care of me (thanks Dr Lou) and they’ve taken care of bubs. I honestly couldn’t rate this team high enough. Trust the experts.Don’t expect a 5 star hotel experience, incredible food or luxury facilities. You’ll have a clean room, plenty of space and all the amenities you need. And you’ll leave happier and more confident as a parent.

They discharged me after sinus surgery having stayed overnight. I was still heavily bleeding and later the day of release I had to be rushed to the Alfred hospital needing a blood transfusion. Totally mismanaged and treated poorly, needing a script for blood blocking medicine never provided. One should not need to be rushed via ambulance to emergency after being discharged from your hospital.

Easy to access.Great that there was access to free street parking. The cafe in reception didn't open weekends which was a shame.Hospital food was much better than other hospitals in Melbourne.Visiting hours were limiting, especially for those of us who work outside the 9-5 workday.Rooms were well maintained, cleaned, and safe.

We had a wonderful time at the Early Parenting Centre, but more than everything it was life changing for our little one. She went from waking up multiple times at night and only being able to contact nap, to sleeping independently in her cot for all night and all naps.A big thank you to the amazing team at Masada, they are extremely helpful and professional. They gave us the confidence to support our baby's sleep and we finally have our sleep back as well.We worked closely with Girish and he is amazing and looked after us and our little one so well.We were not sure if their routine would work for her, but you have to trust them and the process and it proved to us that it works. We highly recommend this program to anyone that is struggling with their baby's sleep!

Recently had overnight stay for my toddlers operation, i called ahead to check if both parents could be there so we could support each other. On arrival no we couldn’t, due to covid. But i could come back in the visiting hrs??? So whats the big deal anyways. As my partner was stuck in the room the whole time to deal with a upset toddler she struggled to use the toilet for one minute…As she was in the room & couldn’t leave our little one the whole time she asked if there was anything she could have to eat later in the day.Was told by someone - sorry you will have to figure that out.I just want to add tho dinner did end up getting provided thankfuly. There is a cafeteria but was closed and partner was consumed settling a little one when it was open.I told nurse on duty when i did return during visiting hrs i think its appropriate i stay and help my partner, my childs scared & clinging to their mother who cant even use the toilet. She looked at me for a good 10seconds thinking of somthing reasonable to respond with no better answer than - No, sorry finished what she was doing and walked out.(Its just general common sence tho) & covid was 3years ago so that excuse isn’t good enough anymore especially when you have to present to facility with negative tests. How can you deny a young child the right of both the parents in their biggest time of need when they don’t understand what’s happening or has happened. I tried to think of a excuse that can actually justify it and i cant think of anything. Its seriously a very poor effortThen the hospital discharged my child the following day with paperwork to a completely different person…. Hopeless1 star for the good and helpful nurses that do deserve some good credit & the surgon who has done a good job.Telling by previous bad reviews. Masada comments back saying they would like to hear more feedback, dont bother. These issues were raised at the time & in person face to face. We could have resolved it then.

Amazing nursing staff and a sleep program that really helped our family and the sanity of two first time parents.Highly recommend. If anything needs improving it is the food options available for babies, and maybe some healthy snacks for the dining room like fruit would be nice.

I had a day surgery procedure today and I am totally impressed. I've had a lot of hospital visits I'm my life but thus was the best experience I have had to date. All the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and and went out of their way to make the patients happy and comfortable. They all appeared to lo e their job and wanted to be there!I'm totally impressed.A massive thank you to all that made me feel welcome and comfortable.

Masada is a very small, quite hospital with fantastic nursing staff on the ward, all except one who was extremely nasty and made you feel like a nuisance, which is why they are getting 2 stars. However, the theatre, recovery room and the anaesthetist I had were so bad that a complaint had to be made. Every thing else about my 'care' was a massive issue.I was kept under the Bair Hugger, a heating blanket, to allow my awful veins to come up to the surface. But when I was transferred into theatre, I became so cold that I was shivering so badly, with my teeth chattering and asking for a blanket constantly, yet I was totally ignored and laid there freezing. I was also not warned by the anaesthetist that he was going to give me a muscle paralysing drug that scared the life out of me when I could no longer move at all PRIOR to being made unconscious. Even my doctor had no idea that he was going to do this and asked what the drug was that he was putting in my IV?In recovery, I awoke in severe pain, but one of the nurses snapped at me that I couldn't be in pain as I had only just regained consciousness. As a nurse myself, that makes no sense at all. She was so rude that I just laid there crying and I refused to say, as I was constantly asked, why I was crying. When another nurse finally realised that I was in significant pain, she went to find my anaesthetist because although we had discussed pain control prior to surgery, he had NOT written me up for anything or set up the PCA (Patient Controlled Anaesthesia) as planned. I was told that he would come and see me in around 10 minutes, but he failed to show up at all. After being transferred back to the ward, the catheter was left in my bed instead of hanging beside it and wasn't found until the next day. So, I ended up with a massive urinary tract infection (UTI). The nurses were trying to get the anaesthetist to come to my room to set up the PCA but he never arrived at all. And it took them another 3 hours, so around 7 hours after surgery, to finally get it going with a weak dose of pain medication that did nothing to control my pain at all. So, I was left in constant pain for the whole, entire time in there. In the 5 days that I was in the hospital, I had ONLY 1 wash and my bed was changed only once too!!!When I finally got home, I not only had the very bad UTI to deal with, but because of the lack of basic hygiene I was afforded, I developed a severe infection in two of my large wounds. The rooms are also very poorly designed and you can barely move in the bathroom, making it almost impossible for the nurse's to assist in giving you a wash or shower. For some reason, they have those tiny, skinny, side sinks that you can't really get your hands in. And as I was admitted at the time that COVID had just started to take over, hand washing was paramount.I was given a feedback form which I detailed the whole mess of an admission in and asked that someone for someone to reply. As of almost 11 months later, I am still waiting for someone to get back to me. Which I have given up hope that, that will ever happen. So, now I will have to contact them to speak to someone about all of the issues. Unless they really don't care because the vast majority of reviews that are given about this hospital are glowing and about the Mother & Baby Unit instead.I will NEVER be admitted to this hospital for surgery again as the whole thing just upsets me so badly that I just can't face this sort of lack of care by the majority of staff. Although this is the hospital that my surgeon work's from for a surgery that I desperately require to allow for my surgical implant for pain again. The carparking is the worst of any hospital too. The carpark is so tiny that it's useless. With many of the actual carparks for doctors and about 5 for visitors and only 1 disabled park. Trying to get out of this carpark when there are cars trying to get into an already full area is impossible and a very poor design. So, do yourself a favour and park in one of the side streets.

I was told by numerous friends and contacts how amazing Masada was however after going there with my little one (8 months old) I would not recommend it to anyone. I am not against sleep training however do it in your own home environment. I noticed changes in my baby after we left Masada. He wouldn't look at us in the eyes and seemed disengaged. Thankfully he reengaged after a day or two... but I feel that it was traumatising for him. I asked the staff to wake me if he was upset at night however I'm quite sure a couple of the nights that they let him cry hysterically for too long. I would NOT recommend going.
