Bunnings Doncaster

Upon a recent visit on Sunday the 29t May at 04:30 pm, I have found the place to be chaotic, and disorganised, and to make things worse, the staff on an already a couple of occasions appear to be uninterested, aloof and just blazed. Upon check out on first occasion, the girl at the cashier was rude, had no posture with ill manners. Second time, I asked a lady for some info’s, and was greeted with no answers as of it was too much asking her…considering I only work a minute away, this will be my last time I visit this establishment. I also noticed on my Sunday’s visit similar attitude with various customers and various staff reinforcing the poor fact that I wasn’t the only one receiving poor service. In nowadays, especially with a new establishment, this is hard to believe and understand. Good luck with your new venture !!!

Don't buy a custom door from this store. The first door was the wrong specifications to what I ordered. The second door that was delivered had black marks all over it and small scratches, the finish around the glass was poor craftsmanship and pieces out of the surrounding frame. I was told the door would be inspected prior to delivery, which they failed to do twice. Poor for an expensive door and management could not care about the inconvenience this has caused

Not a traditional Bunnings store so to speak. No large car park, no outdoor snag stand no big aisles with large outdoor nurseries.But my experience today was positive. They stocked the item I needed, I got in and parked at the undercover parking lot.Be mindful that there is a fee for parking if you stay for a couple of hours or more.Other than that, staff we’re friendly and helpful.

REVISED REVIEW, JANUARY 2023:Parking conditions have changed. Read the conditions CAREFULLY!!!!It is now $18.00 MINIMUM, if you overstay the 2 hours free parking by even a small amount.An additional approx 10minutes over the 2hours free on a late Sunday afternoon has cost me $18, a REAL shock. Would have been cheaper to go to Nunawading or Box Hill South!Very pleased though that after calling the store to complain the following day, office staff decided to refund my $18 and it was ready for me to pick up a week later when I visited again.At last, Doncaster has its own Bunnings! In brief: If you only have a couple of small items, you know it's not going to be busy, and you're NOT towing a trailer etc, and this is the nearest store, this is great. Otherwise, go to any one of the other, standard layout, Bunnings in Eltham, Nunawading, Box Hill, Northland etc. Unfortunately it's like some of the other non standard weird" 2 storey Bunnings in Richmond

Finally, my favour Bunnings is our door steps. Don't compare to the traditional store. The store is more like modelling Hawthorn and Collingwood multi levels design. Tighter aisle space and car park which you have to get use to.

Customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen. Although products appear to be in stock the staff is just too lazy to find it. The info desk is just terrible. Might as well not have it at all.The and the excuse given by staff, oh it’s sold out.She didn’t even take more than 2 minutes to even check what I wanted, brought a different product and when I said This is not what I asked for and showed that the stock appears to be on stock on their site for what I wanted, and even click and collect was available for the same product, she was like nah, it’s not on the shelf as far as I could see, so it’s not there,This was after two of previous staff checked their stock twice on their system (one on the upper level, and one on the information) and said the item was available.And the worst part is, this was not the first time We’ve experienced bad customer service at this store.Previous time the service staff on the counter was so irritable and was in such a rush, she was was more interested in continuing her chat with the colleague than doing customer service. So when asked to purchase a carry on bag, she was making faces.I just thought it was just one staff member so let it go.But looks like it’s not just one but the many staff here has zero customer service and being polite seems to be non existent.I might as well just go to another store than this although this store is the closest to me.Disappointed. Might as well never go again unless the self service is available.

Awesome store! Friendly and super helpful staff. Neat and tidy and it always has what I'm after.

An interesting concept: multizoned construction, with a hotel on the same complex as this store. The store itself is split into two levels and the gardening section is upstairs. Parking is free for the first two hours, then pretty pricey after that. Ensure you know exactly what you need and get assistance from their team members where possible. Will be going back here in future.

It's one of the 2 story Bunnings that are becoming more popular. Not a fan. Still better than nothing. Parking underground. Lift and travelator to the store. The terrace section was closed when I arrived after 7pm on a week night which I thought was odd. Not many people there at this time
