What a wonderful Shire we have and so lucky to live here! Just read the Shire's quarterly 'Groundswell' newsletter - lots of great things always going on. No place like it, wonderful neighbours like extended family, great activities, gorgeous surf coastline with the Great Ocean Road to share! Councillors and staff are so responsive : )

What a pathetic display of event planning last night for the Cadel Evans Bike Race, Locals being dragged around town in confusion due to the extremely poorly signed road closure due to the event. Instead of so many Police being available maybe they could have put signs more clearly? Just one of many ways this council demonstrates their lack of understanding about the community

wonderful city,sadly unacommerdating for motorhomes,had to hide and risk a ticket when in town.Manny local shops are losing business because they can't camp.caravan parks over priced and booker out.the council provided 5 parking spots in the bush,every 1 in ten cars was a camper and their is no place to stay,no public toilets,felt like an out cast and not very welcome because we were traveling in a motorhome. the council supplies nothing for the tourist in motorhomes. very sad compared to other councils,and considering that the grate ocean rd is a popular road.they don't want to share,they don't like tourist
