Big Splash Waterpark

Please install some shade sails over the pool or at least the lines for the slides. No matter how sun smart I am I still get burnt and it's a month long reminder of the 3 hours I spent swimming.Good place for kids, but I still think adventure world in WA has this place beat for a days worth of fun.

Plenty of fun for little kids and us big kids!4 large slides: twister, 2 person speed slide with inflatable and 2 tower slides. 2 kids pools, one shallow with elephant slide and the other with 2 small slides and overhead buckets. Medium pool about 1m deep was perfect for my 4 year old to play without adult help. Larger pool had inflatable obstacle course. Wait lines pretty good, 10 minutes each usually. Good amount of shade areas with some bench tables and deck chairs around. Cafe, day lockers, change rooms, free parking with plenty of spaces.

The good:- Reasonable variety for younger children with a couple of splash parks, small slides and a 0.9m pool- 4 Different types of slides- Good sized pool for general swimming, plus an inflatable obstacle course for a bit of extra fun- Fair amount of shady areas to set upThe bad:- Expensive - won't afford to be back for something like this anytime soon at those prices- Changerooms, both male and female, were a disgrace. Obviously need a few more regular cleans throughout the day especially when it's busy. Surprised that this doesn't seem to be a priority- I understand there are loads of w#nkers that the staff need to deal with, but some of the staff have absolutely no concept of customer service whatsoever.

Cafe is usually late for anything even coffee and the park opens at 11am. Or you been told the barrister is outside when there are like 4 different people in there.I believe all businesses operators knows having a 'companion card' means your worker do not pay for entry. But in this case, worker paid same fee.Apart from that, cool place for families and friends to have fun.

It was a good day. I used to go when I was a kid and I don't think they have cleaned the stairs in the tower slide since then....it stank!!!!! Also no life guards up the top of the tower slide so some kids were getting a little roudy. Apart from that lot's of fun

This place really needs some money invested into it. The water in the little kids slide area is often really dirty and the toilets really aren't cleaned thoroughly or regularly. The kids absolutely love the slides and it is the only thing like it in Canberra, but when charging $28 a ticket, they need to put some money back into the place for some long overdue improvements.

The slides are good fun and the pool area is nice. It gets really busy on hotter days so it can be better to go when the temperature is in the 20s.

Big Splash!The family went out to the Big Splash in Jamison today, ohh boy did we have fun. I was happy due to the short lines, great slides and friendly staff. There was a total of four major slides, a child small slides area, inflatable course and deep plus shallow pools. I do have two issues, biggest one was the toilets were not very clean, full of garbage and cold showers. Second more of a safety issue where children with their ignorant parents taking children not big enough for their massive slides, then being noticed by the employers only to be ignored, safety is their for a reason, to protect unknowing people from injury or death. I would recommend and will definetely go again.

Big Splask is a great summer outdoor pool in ACT. It's lovely to be able to have outdoor time in Canberra and not freeze, it's a little costly for a regular visits if you want to use the slides but there are some nice small slides that are free for smaller kids. The big downside of the pool is the duck droppings around the pools, food that people don't worry about cleaning up after themselves, lots of garden waste in the pool which I understand it's an outdoor pool but still, and the bathrooms are always quite gross. Staff like anywhere are a hit or a miss but a number of them today didn't seem to be bothered with safety. At the end of the day we did spend 3hrs there and we had heaps of fun on the slides.

Good day out, sure it costs about $100 for a family of 4 but it buys a whole day of fun in the pool and slides so actually good value when you think of it compared to other options. Visited on Australia day so was quite busy however the lines weren't too bad.
