Got the porterhouse steak, which was pretty good but not impressive.Sides (including fries) and even sauces cost extra, which is a tad unusual for a steakhouseI didn’t see the sign showing they had a special set for the day with porterhouse steak, fries, and house wine until I left the restaurant on the other side of the street and wondered why the waiter didn’t tell me about it when I was orderingOverall pretty average. Expected more from a restaurant advertising themselves as a “butcher cooks for you” joint

A great spot for you carnivores who loves a great steak cooked to perfection. I love the window of meat selections, they show you the good stuff for you to pick. They have a good variety of items on the menu, kids menu included and it's not going to cost you an arm and leg if you bring the kids along either.

While the first review was about my experience via Uber Eats, I was contacted by the owner/manager to dine in and rate that experience, please read the whole review below#1 via take away (1 star)Have to say this is very disappointing and not worth it. Purchased the cheese steak and it was flavourless, oily and makes me wonder what it was slow cooked in since I couldn’t taste a thing. Even the sauce doesn’t save it, maybe if there was more onions since that’s the only thing I could taste. Yes the meat was tender but that doesn’t matter when it’s tasteless. Also purchased the Parma and I can’t see the eggplant while it looks like a supermarket product. They look so much better than they taste that’s for sure. Very disappointed but glad I didn’t spend more money#2 Dine In experienceWas very happy to experience this restaurant dining in, from walking in I could tell it was a very popular restaurant. Half of the venue was full and bustling and by the time I ordered the rest of the restaurant was full on a Friday night. Was only 2 wait staff on the floor but they managed to handle a full restaurant very well with empty dishes being collected in a timely manner and tables being waited on when needed.The restaurant was very clean and well maintained with a glass section near the chefs full of sausages. With the bar fully stocked and a great drink’s menu. I opted for a cocktail which was delicious and very well made. Ordered the wagyu streak cooked medium rare, it was juicy and pink inside and very tender which did melt in my mouth. I did order a garlic butter sauce on the side but felt that it really wasn’t necessary as the steak was full of flavour. My sides were the tomato and mozzarella which was simple but well put together and seasoned perfectly and the arancini with mushrooms, probably a little more darker in colour but the centre was creamy. Also enjoyed the sticky date pudding, unfortunately it did have more of a fluffy cake texture than pudding and the sauce had odd clear jelly like clusters.Would definitely come back here to enjoy the steaks and cocktails again. Thank you to the owner/manager for allowing me to come and experience your restaurant after my first experience.

Was excited to check this place out but was disappointed with our experience. We came on ANZAC day and they were quite quiet. When we arrived the door was open and we walked in to no one greeting us. Had to get his attention. We were told to sit anywhere. All the tables were dirty and hadn't been cleaned. We sat at one of the dirty tables and he cleaned it. We received menus and water.When it came to ordering we got 3 steaks and ribs plus sides, 4 drinks.After about 15 minutes the meat all came out. Pretty speedy although we were quite disappointed that we didn't even get our drinks for 20 minutes. We had to ask to get our drinks, for more water etc. The staff looked bored and like they didn't want to be there.As for the food I really enjoyed it. Basic sides which were yum and a decent piece of meat. The ribs were amazing highly recommend.Overall service let this place down. We would have bought double or triple the drinks if we had been served right away and we walked away quite disappointed. Wouldn't go again for this price and service.

Invited by a friend to try the steaks here and it was damn good. We ordered the rib eye, scotch, pork ribs and a range of sides. My favourite cut was the ribeye due to its delicious buttery flavour. Both steaks were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The pork ribs were also a highlight, the smokey basting was sweet and tangy exactly how I like it, ranks up there as one of my favourite in Melbourne. Overall a great night with good food and company. Would recommend.

A fairly cavernous restaurant and definitely not the place for a romantic dinner. There weren't a lot of diners on this Friday night. You really have to love meat to dine here, as the name suggests. Waiters were friendly and attentive. It doesn't say on the website but this is NOT BYO. Wine prices were average. I had a hamburger which at $18 with no chips was overpriced. A large" (now that's a laugh) bowl of chips cost $11. So in summary an average experience and definitely overpriced considering what you get. Toilets are located outside the restaurant at least 80 metres away."

Food was incredible! Arancini balls were so good, the steak was delicious too, BUT, the pork ribs where something else out of this world. Honestly, up the with the best, if not the best ribs I’ve ever tasted.Only negatives I thought it you have to pay extra for sauce with your steak, I personally think you should get a sauce included with all steaks rather than adding an additional cost.I’ve already planned to go back this week, even though it’s only been 3 days since I last ate here.

My partner and I had dinner at Macelleria. I ordered chicken Parma, and the chicken was really thin. It was ok. It’s pretty over price for what they offer. Also, they do offer limited sides. If you go there make sure to order ribs, or any kind of red meat as it doesn’t disappoint you.
