Really good service let down by ridiculous prices. $40 for chicken schnitzel, $60 for steak frites (was told it was 300g, what arrived was 200 at most) $24 for leaf salad. Is it any wonder that people are less and less inclined to eat out.

The second branch of the iconic EightySix - South isn't the forgotten middle sister. think of it instead like the cool, grown up sibling with more refined food and slightly better wine list.The food is Italian. It's very good - possibly the best version of chicken schnitzel I've ever had. The chocolate tart, I'm still thinking about today - 4 months after I ate it. On the down side though, it is rather expensive.

Delicious, innovative food. Probably the best food I have eaten in a very long time at any price. A wonderful fusion of flavours. Great atmosphere. Service was impeccable. The wine list is good. They only do share plates, which is the way to go in the future. Finding a parking spot nearby might be a challenge.

Tasting menu and cocktails. From the Crudo to the foccacia to the heavenly Pumpkin and mascopan tortellini, this was a Tour de Force.Each course stood on the shoulders of the other culminating with the Strawberry truffle.Cocktails were a fascinating addition, but really this was about the Chef who provided a heaven on earth experience.Reserve my seat!

We’ve been here a couple of times now and I cannot fault either occasion. The menu is so thoughtfully developed, and every dish we’ve had has been so tasty. The banoffee pie is a standout and an absolute must. Above all, the dining experience is completely immersive with impeccable service and a dedicated team. We’ll be back!

So glad there is now a Southside Eightysix! We had a great experience ordering the set menu: the tortellini, chicken and banoffee pie in particular were absolutely delicious. The interiors were cosy and it had a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

The anticipation of returning to 86 South is only out done by the wonderful dishes, flavours and ambiance the team bring.The wait staff are great and adapt their approach to suit your style and always look after you.The dish that brings me back every time is the Corn & Taleggio tortellini with fermented chilli, the delicate pasta is deliciously coated with the perfectly balanced chili. This time we also thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Milanese with pecorino cream, another standout dish

Arriving towards the end of what was clearly a very busy Mother's Day lunch service, it was refreshing to see the staff all helpful, happy and smiling whilst preparing tables for the last bookings.The staff were working together as a team to make the experience for the diners efficient and attentive.Food was beautifully presented and delicious.A most enjoyable lunch overall and I would certainly recommend EightySix South to friends.
