Amazing local butcher! Great selection in the shop of meats and marinated dishes. The meat was amazing quality and a great price for what we got. The Scotch Fillets were so tender and cut to the thickness we had ordered.The Butcher is so friendly and had some great advice for the chorizo we picked up. I am truly thankful for the personal service provided here, its great to see a business that genuinely cares for their customers.My husband really wanted some ham off the bone (old school way) and they did not disappoint it was perfect and really made his day.If you live in or just visiting Sandy Bay this is the place to go to get the best meat in Tassy. They are happy to take an order for that special celebration or a week worth of holiday food like us.

You guys are awesome. We are currently PWS Caretakers at Melaleuca in remote SW Tasmania. Thanks for packaging, freezing and flying us out our meat parcel. It got here the next day and the meat is delicious. Makes our dehydrated meals look tame. After 6 weeks out here, this has been a real gift, thanks.

You blokes were bang on about the rib eye. Think I can safely say it did the wine justice.

The service is great, since I'm a regular, but the hygiene is so appalling. I tried ignoring the hairs I got from the meat I order weekly but the picture shown has been the worst yet. I hope Marcus can change this somehow, but so far, this has been the worst.

Superb quality meat, but afraid I can’t say the same for their customer service. They don’t seem very keen on emails as they have ignored multiple of mine over the past 3 months after telling me they would get back to me about a special request.

Got two nice thick dry-aged rib-eyes on the bone. Grilled them revearsed sear on the BBQ: absolute perfection! Thanks you for these amazing products!

Drove from old beach to this butcher based on the reviews and what I was looking for. So helpful and friendly. Very informative and assisted to my needs. On a side note, I agree as per another review that the sausages are amazing! Meat quality is unmatched. Definitely the best I’ve found so far in Hobart and I’ve been to quite a few :)

Vermeys are among the very best butchers in Tasmania (and Tassie has still got lots of local butchers). A multi-generational family business with excellent staff and a commitment to Tasmanian produce. Technique is strong and meat quality is excellent. The sausages are prize winners too! I am very happy to recommend this butchery.

When we go there, the staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their products. The meat is fantastic quality and a great price for what you get. They also offer delivery which has been fantastic during isolation. Very happy customer all round.
