Sabo's On Severn
Sabo's was a random and last minute pick for our getaway with my partner, but it turned out to be one of the best accommodation experiences of my life! The owners are really passionate about what they do and super lovely people, and they create such a welcoming environment for you. Their facilities are really nice and very well maintained, and there are a couple of good wineries really close to Sabo's which makes it even better. Definitely would go back to this place and highly recommend it to anyone else

We have just had the most wonderful three night stay with our little boy at Lizzie and Joe's. We have been so thoroughly spoilt and looked after it has been like nothing we have experienced before. The rooms, gardens, food and hospitality are all beyond amazing. As was Lizzie's cooking class. We truly were treated like family and have already booked our next trip. Thank you so much Lizzie and Joe xxxxx

Can't say enough about our stay here. Lizzy and Joe welcomed us like family, there were eight of us and they made everything so easy and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Lizzy is an amazing cook, the seafood paella was to die for and finished off with a chocolate brownie dessert around the camp fire that Joe organised along with great chats and stories shared with a few more wines. And breakfast both mornings was delicious!!Our accommodation was so lovely and comfortable in the self contained unit, it had everything you needed and it was cold enough to put the fire on so that was a real cosy treat. My parents had an ensuite room in the main house and they loved it. Dinner and breakfast was served in the main dining room which was beautiful. It is such a quiet place surrounded in beautiful gardens and land with Alpacas, sheep and chickens. Such a lovely place to get away from it all....we will definitely be back. Thank you so much Lizzy and Joe.

Truly a memorable stay - Lizzie and Joe are the most wonderful hosts. Our first visit to the area, with many more to come! Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Great food, company and accommodation. Thank you for such a great experience - one that will stay with me for a long time.

Stayed for 2 nights in this beautifully restored house which retains its old world charm. The welcome and hospitality from Joe and Lizzie was fantastic and they made our stay so enjoyable, better than home.Lizzies passion ( at least ,I should say one of them) is cooking and we had 2 memorable dinners with friends including Joe and Lizzie which was perfect. Our room had a very comfortable bed, an adequate shower ensuite and as we were very aware of the areas drought, did not waste theirvaluable water. We cannot wait to go back, it was so relaxing, like staying with friends, which of course it was!

What can one say about Sabo’s on Severn ... except … exquisite and a cut above!! Yes, the accommodation is lovely and is beautifully decorated to create a vintage ambience. But it’s really all about owners/hosts, Lizzie and Jo. In short, they make it!! They are such beautiful warm people who instantly make you feel at home. They go above and beyond to make you feel special! And Lizzie’s cooking is a real treat. This is definitely not your ordinary bed and breakfast! If you want a magical time away and be made to feel special, book at Sabo’s on Severn.

We had a four night stay in a cosy self contained room with a fire burning when we arrived. What a lovely place to stay. Not just the environment and our room but especially the hospitality. Joe and Lizzie are, quite simply, very special people and made our stay much more than we could have hoped for. Homey and down to earth. If you read the reviews, as I did, when booking our mid week stay circa 1 week out, I can understand why you may have wondered about such consistent high ratings. I usually cut the highest and the lowest to be realistic. The consistent high ratings/reviews are absolutely realistic and deserved.Joe and Lizzie are this place.Apart from the lovely surrounds, cozy accommodation and amazing hospitality, Lizzie's cooking is something special. We had cooked breakfasts each day and two dinners. All were exceptional. The veggie stack is the best I have ever seen or tasted. It is clear that Lizzie and Joe enjoy what they do. It seems many people are frequent visitors. I have no doubt we will join that crew!Thank you so much Joe and Lizzie.

I had a great 2 night stay at Sabo's on Severn. Lizzie and Joe are wonderful hosts and have created a very homely, comfortable, relaxed space for their guests to enjoy, and I did. Lizzie creates amazing meals for dinner and breakfast and Joe is very generous with his time and knowledge about the local area. Definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area and I would stay here again.
