This is the best GB Reef tour our family has done. We would highly recommend it when visiting Port Douglas. The staff were professional, polite and knowledgeable. The three reef sites we visited were varied and beautiful and we always felt safe. The food was good too. You really can't fault this tour.

Incredible experience by the Wavelength crew. Super warm, friendly and professional, and also very knowledgeable about the reef and abundance of life therein.Great tour sites at Opal reef and they can guide you through a show and tell or you can explore on your own. Good food and coffee throughout the day too. Can't recommend them enough, will definitely use these guys again!

Great snorkelling outing. Nice to have a lower number of guests on board than most outings, plus 6 crew (mostly marine biologists) – space for everyone to do their thing. Professional operation, good briefings, and an informative presentation about coral health over lunch. Food was tasty and plentiful. Two toilets on board. It took us roughly 90 minutes to get to the outer reef – water was choppy throughout the day (medicine was provided if needed) but visibility was good, apparently typical for winter. Three snorkel sites over the day, an hour spent at each. Really appreciated the option for guided snorkelling to learn more about the marine life, and floaties for those less confident in the water. Nice bonus that they took excellent quality photos of guests in and out of the water as well as what we saw in the water, and sent us a dropbox link for (free) downloading.

I took quite a bit of time researching different companies for our reef visit. In the end we were referred to Wavelength by a family member & are glad we made the choice. It was a fantastic day. Staff were helpful & really well informed. It was a snorkel only tour so very focused on snorkelling. They cater for smaller groups so you receive quite personalised service. The reef stops were unreal - just a great day all round. Five star experience!

Our family spent a day on the outer reef with Wavelength Cruises. The staff were fantastic, giving helpful advice and ensuring we all had a great time. Stopping at three different sites gave us plenty of opportunity to enjoy the reef. Everything was included in the price; snorkels, wetsuits, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea and photos from the day. Be sure to check the weather forecast beforehand, we had excellent visibility in the water and calm conditions which made the most of the whole experience. Would highly recommend supporting this locally owned company. You won't be disappointed.

We picked Wavelength because it was recommended to us that their reefs (every tour operator is assigned a different one) were among the best at the GBR. And it delivered! We traveled ~1.5 hours to our first site which is just the right distance in my opinion. Some locations require much longer travel time. At Opal and Tongue Reefs, the underwater life was just simply out of the world, beaming with life. Very excited to spot white-tip reef sharks, spotted lagoon stingrays among other mesmerizing tropical fishes. They also took underwater photos for you at no additional cost. Also encouraging to see how the reefs managed to bounce back and the coral restoration work that the team has been doing. The only downside is that it is a slightly bigger group (but not as big as some other tours) which makes the snorkeling tours too crowded. But we just ended exploring on our own.

I did an extensive amount of research before choosing Wavelength. I am so glad I did! Small sized group - we had around 35 people, plenty of staff onboard including knowledgeable marine biologists. We visited 3 sites on the Opal Reef (which is spectacular for both coral, fish and other marine life). I felt full throughout the trip with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. I loved their passion for conservation and protection of the reef and they were super helpful with those who may be a bit scared of snorkelling in the open sea.

We were recommended to Wavelength by friends. They were correct - great crew & good boat. Fantastic day on the outer Great Barrier Reef, snorkelling at 3 different sites on Opal Reef (all different features). Numbers on the boat capped in the 40's, which made it a more personal experience with a very knowledgeable crew.

Amazing experience with these guys, they're a family run snorkelling tour business that focus on the conservation of the reef. They take you out to 3 different reefs, give personal miniature tours of the reefs to get to know what you're actually swimming with. The guides will dive down and pick up items for you to look at and also point sealife out along the way. Very accommodating and develops a real appreciation of the reef and all it beholds! Definitely recommend these guys if you want to learn about the reef and see some cool things! Will definitely book again in the future!

Fantastic tour, 3 unique spots, food was great, which is rare on these kinds of tours. The staff were knowledgeable and super friendly. All of the staff significant experience, half of them marine biologist. Along with beautiful corals and fish saw a huge turtle and a reef shark. Lots of awesome photos taken by the staff so you could be present and enjoy the day. Would definitely recommend :)
