Had a visit to Wollongong hospital as you know no one likes going to hospital but the staff were excellent and very helpful which I was happy about also allowed to come home it was a good place to visit for a short time

Went to get my flu vaccinations last week and got to witness the nurses and other hospital staff being racist and hostile toward their Muslim co-worker, it was a very upsetting thing to watch.Don't get anything done here or you'll experience racist hostility.

Recently had spinal surgery and sent in by ambulance a week later - could not fault my stays - felt for the Nurses they were totally run off their feet but always helpful and mostly smiling!!

Can't thank the staff of day surgery enough for the care they gave me on the 16th and 17th June 2023.The follow up appointments have also been professional and friendly. Those reading this review please be kind to all staff as they are governed by time restraint, regulations and short staff with some doingz12 and 16 hour shifts.

This hospital are exposed Quack’s… Please AVOID them at all costs, they have a terrible reputation, and have had many deaths under their “Care” due to complete incompetence or using vulnerable patients to grab benefits off their sickness.Avoid these Charlatans at all costs including protecting the lives of your LOVED ones…..

Attended regular antenatal appointments with midwives and doctors at wollongong public hospital. Most impressed with birthing unit. I called twice after having spontaneous intense contractions at home every 7mins at 39weeks 1day. I checked into birthing unit 1weeks prior to induction appointment. Was treated immediately, professionally and with care. Received epidural as soon as i asked at 4cm dilated. Didnt have to wait a long time. Very clean, neat and tidy. Very friendly midwives and doctors that err on the side of caution for baby's health and well being.Great experience. Thank you for your care. X

Took my son with a suspected broken elbow in to the ER on a busy public holiday Monday a few weeks ago. I was most impressed by the way in which we were treated. Even though it was very busy, the process worked very well. Babies were seen to very quickly along with other patients who needed more urgent care. We saw the nurse within half an hour to give details, not too much later went for an xray. Waited a fair bit longer but was seen by an orthapedic surgeon who advised that he would need an operation. Nurse put a cast on and we went home. Had the operation a few days later. The care and follow up has been excellent!

Doctors, nursing staff and the anaesthetists are absolutely amazing, they let me go into the theatre with my young son until he went to sleep and the doctor called me as soon as the surgery was complete

I was in the ER waiting area for 8 hrs, before being seen by a resident, which in all honesty was a joke. Nurse Harry is a disgrace to the nursing profession, he was rude antagonizing, disrespectful, which at the time I thought to myself, no wonder patients end up bopping these antagonist creeps, they really deserve it. I'm a 68 year old woman and an ex- registered nurse so I do know a bit about how people should be treated in a hospital. Unfortunately the way Wollongong ER operates is unacceptable. My main concern is... is the Chief Medical officer or the Director of Nursing reading these reviews!!!!WAKE UP WOLLONGONG HOSPITAL, TAKE PRIDE AND DO YOUR BLOODY JOBS PROPERLY.

This hospital has always been bad but now it's even worse, the drs and nurses are so rude and unprofessional, i was warned ahead of time that that's what I'll face the first thing they do is make you seem like a crazy person or a person dealing with anxiety. They don't care about your health and any symptoms your going through, It's disgusting I left the hospital with no help and no further investigation for my health condition, I left with a few words from them. YOU MIGHT HAVE ANXIETY AND YOUR CONDITION IS A MYSTERY SORRY WE CANT HELP YOU""
